JO. The young men who went with us
this month nurchased land and con
cluded to stay right there and go to
work. They purchased u -10-horso
power gasoline engine and a six-bottom
breaker and are now ready for busi
ness. They have already contracted
for over 1.0OO acres to break at $3 per
acre. They were so favorably im
pressed with both climate and soil that
they did not take three or four months
to investigate conditions in the Alberta
piovince, as they had contemplated do
ing. Good, productive land at $15 an
acre, on easy payments is becoming a
scarce article. These lands sell at $15
an acre for non-irrigated and $25 an
acre for irrigated areas, on ten-year,

The clii-ing of each contest will take
place at the same time and will be con

will be no unfairness whatever.
All names and money must be in by
the closing hour.
Voting cards may be made out after

We would also like for the contestants .

as we will want to get to counting as
soon after li o'clock as we can.
The votes in ail of the contests will

Contestants may enclose the names

way no contestant can possibly know
how much another contestant is turn

As soon after 6 o'clock as possible
the votes of this contest will be counted

Some one sent the boss a bunch of books en
titled, "Business Nuggets," "The Koad to Suc
cess," "The Man in Front" and such like. 1 think
he's been looking them over, for when 1 came to
work this morning ho handed me this: Every
thing comes to those that wait, and the lazy boy
waits to greet it; but success comes on with a
rapid gait, to the man that goes to meet it." 1
had to laugh, because he's the boss; but to tell
you the honest truth, a boy on this job doesn't
get any chance to apply thess wise hunches. Actually it's no credit for
a fellow to beindustrioua here, because he cant be anything else. If lie
T lets up for an hour he wouldn't get his orders out and then there would
be people coming in and saying lots of fierce things, but nothing about
"business bucccss" or the "lazy boy waits to greet it."
Have you tried Curtis Brothers Janis. Retains all the line natu ra
flavor. Great. Picnic size, 25c. Don't forget to order a sack of
Goods Best Flour with your next order.
