Any lady or gentleman living within the territory of the News-Herald except the residents of the city of Plattsmouth may enter this rally, and one will have as good as chance to win as the other. The Grand Prize The grand prize is a fine two-cylinder, 22-horse power, five passenger BUICK touring car bought from Sidles Auto Co., Lincoln, Neb. This car has 92-inch wheel base and is suited for country roads. This automobile will be awarded by the Nebraska Farmer Co., of Lincoln, Neb., to the contestant re ceiving the most votes In a group of fifteen contests with Nebraska country papers, all of which will stait February 1, and close at six p. m. on Saturday, April 3, 1909. Becker, The Plattsmouth Music Co., will be awarded by the News-Herald to the contestant receiving the most votes in the News-Herald contest. Description-Style J. Height, 4 feet C inches. War ranted for seven years. Subscription Rates The regular subscription price of $1.50 per year for the News-Herald will be charged. A combined subscription price of $2.00 per year, $100 for two years, $6.00 for three years, and so on, will be charged for the News-Herald and Nebraska Farmer. The regular price of the Nebraska Farmer is $1.00 per year, but by taking advantage of this clubbing proposition you save money on both papers. Voting Schedule Each year's renewal subscription to the local paper counts 400 votes. Each year's new .subscrip tion counts 800 votes. Each year's renewal subscrip tion to the local paper, together with a year's sub scription to the Nebraska Farmer, l,200votes. Each year's new subscription to the local paper, together with a year's subscription to the Nebraska Farmer, 1,200 votes. Five years paid to both papers, 2,000 extra votes. Ten years to both papers, 5,000 extra votes. 15 years to both papers, 10,000 extra votes. No votes will be counted on less than a year's pay ment. Any one coming to the office and paying sub scription will be given a voting card and will have the right to cast it for any one he wishes. 11. Subscribers can vote as often as they choose by paying money on subscription for the News Herald or the Nebraska Farmerand the News-Herald. 12. All questions that arise which are not covered by these rules will be decided upon by the contest manager. 14.
