He thanked Mtss Kessler for her kindness and congrat ulated Plattsmouth on having such an excellent pianist. So far a the writer was able to judge he followed the se lection all right. The solos by the soprano were well rendered and very taking. Unlike most singers, one could tell what she was saying, pronouncing almost every syllable distinctly. It is really re freshing to be able to understand a singer's words. It adds about 200 per cent to a selection, but unfortunately only about 2 per cent of the vocalists eeem to realize it, or if they do they fail in their efforts.
