Christopher Layton, sr., the Mormon patriarch who was buried recently in Utah, gloried in the fact that he was the father of sixty-five children. The exact number of his wives is not def initely known, but it Is said that he had five. At any rate this is the num ber that followed the body of the bish op to its last resting place. In the funeral cortege there were fifty-one of the sixty-five children (fourteen being dead) one hundred and forty grand children and nine great-grandchildren.
