The Best Morning I'aper in the State in
Connection With "The News."
Sinco the new time card has gone
into effect on the Burlington the Statu
Journal arrives in Plattsmouth at 7:17
in the morning and is delivered be
tween 7 and 8 o'clock. This is the
best newspaper in Nebraska for state
and general news and ia furnished in
connection with Tins Evening News
for 20 cents a week. The early arrival
of The Journal makes it the more de
sirable, as it gives patrons an oppor
tunity to secure the news before the
busy hours of the day. The EVENING
News gives all the local news of the
city and county, which makes a strong
combination. The low price of 20
cents a wek pays for the two papers.

Billy Miller teleKraphed to the

George, and at noon today received an
answer from the sheriff staling that
no one by the name of G ;orga Miller

Just how such a statement could get
into the Associated press reports is
not known, as it was evidently a fake.
It is now learned that all Mr. Miller
know about the affair was gleaned
from aA item cut from the telegraphic
columns of a newspaper and sent from
Lincoln.
The friends of the family will be
glad to learn that the reported death
of the boy was untrue.
