President Mckinley shook hands
with the passing multitude at the
jjoverment building for about twenty
minutes yesterday, and Ilalsy Djke
was one of the Pluttsmou h boys who
grasped the president's hand.
The funeral of Marion Watt rs oc
curred yesterday from the Christian
church and was largely attended, El
der Dungan officiated. The decea-cd
was a brother of Mrs. Frank O'Neill
where he had of late been making his

The crowd which went down to the
B. & M. depot to see McKinley this
morning were disappointed, as he

and the two car special which passed

to contain no passengers.
Anton Schernl.er, an old resident of
Cass county, bui now living in Gage
county near the Kansas line, is in the
city renewing old acq uai nances. lie
came to the exposition to see President

to run down and see old friends.
Miss Mamie Sullivan, a talented vo
calist from Plattsmouth, lias been in
the city for the past week. She has
accepied an engagement fo a month's
cancert tour and will sii-g in such cit
ies as St. Louis and Kansas City ana

Eldeis Christeiison and Valentine of
the Latter Day Saints church, from
Utah, will preach tonight at the South
Park Baptist church in this city, at
7:30, and may "continue for several

C. F. Williams who opened the first

and who resided here for some time,
is in town today visiting his old com
