The eoncert to bo given by the St. Cecil Concert Company on Friday evening, September 16, at the Pres byterian church for the benefit of the Plattsmouth Public Library, should meet with a large attendance as the need of more books for the library is well known. The company consists of Miss Mayme Sullivan, eoprano; Miss Cath arine Cummins, pianist; Mrs. Jessie Brown-Dorward, reader; Mr. A. T. Hazleton.tenor.and Master Karl Smith the great boy violinsellist. Misses Sullivan and Cummins are both well known in Plattsmouth. Miss Sulli van's sweet and sympathetic voioe has been heard here before, and her many friends will be pleased to have the opportunity of hearing her again. Miss Cummins has recently returned from Chicago after two year's 6tudy with America's greatest pianist, Wm. Sherwood, and her appearance before the public will be looked for ward to with great expectation. Prc Homes la Western Florid. Leiuko are here on a visit to their aunt, Mrs. P. K. Gulhman and family. Mrs. Simons, of Lincoln, is with them. Lloyd Stafford, of South Haven, Mich., a nephew of Wra. A cable dispatch from Hong Kong, dated September 0, received in London yesterday, an nounces that a committee of three Filipinos, appointed by Aguinaldo, has left Hong Kong in order to confer with President McKinley upon the future of the Philippine islands.
