TllK republicans of Cass county can elect every man on their ticket if care is taken in tho selection of competent men of strict integrity. The party should not be put on the defensive the campaign should be an aggressive one, and the banner of s uind money and national progress wiil remain at the head of victorious columns. The terms lb et, flotilla and squadron seem to be regarded as identical by tho average layman. A lleet is com posed of tvftlvo battleships. A mos quito fleet is composed of twelvo or more sin ill boats. A squadi-on is com posed of less than twelve battleships, and is often a part of a lleet, such as a van, center or r. ar squadron. A !1 -tilla is tomposod of twelvo or more men-of-war, some of which may be battleships. Hence the United States has no li-.-et; neither has Spain. Ad miral Dewey commands a squadron.
