The day was spent in di.-cu- sing various topics in regard to the order, its growf h, e!c. While the or der is not very large in this state, it has a national membership of over 1200,000, and it is steadily increasing. The object of this organization is to "assist American in obtaining em ployment, and to maintain and pro- mote the interests of Americans and bhiold them from the depressing ef fects of foreign competition. " A largo number of visiting delegates weio in attendance, and helped to make the conventional very interesting and successful one. Following were the delegates from Omaha: J. A. Shields. J. W. llonder, E. L. Marston, II. A. Williams, C. S. McKinsey and J. M. Cunsman. It was decided to hold the next state meeting of the order in Omaha, on February 2 IS!)!). All the members were present except Cum mins. Ihe primary object of the meeting was to confer with a number of repre sentatives of the Campbell Publishing company of Chicago. These gentle men stated that they wished to secure cuts of the principal buildings in this city, and asked the council 10 make an appropriation towards securing the same not stating a specitie amount.
