On Saturday the Union Pacific will
run a special train from Denver to
Omaha for the accommodation of the
eighty tourists of tho Minneapolis
Journal's party, which is returning
after a brief sojourn in Mexico, Ar
rangements are being made for a stop
of several hours in this city and a
visit to Ithe exposition grounds.

are reported as getting along nicely.
Mrs. Bertha Buck, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. Jahrig, accompanied by her
husband, came in from Wyoming last
evening to attend Mrs. Jahrig's
funeral.
Remember Star lodge D. of H. No
4 will give an entertainment at Fitz
gerald's hall Thursday evening, Feb
ruary 17. Further particulars will be
given later.
Mrs. U. S. Horton joined her bus
band here yesterday, and they have
gone to housekeeping in one of the
Peterson houses, near" Waterman's
lumber yard.
Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Reynolds lost
their little one yesterday after a brief
illness. The remains, we learn, are
to be shipped east tomorrow mornine
for interment.
August Gorder's harness business is
on the boom. He now has three men
employed, who are kept busy filling
orders for the celebrated Oak
tanned harness.
R. F. Dean will sell all his stock.

Young men who are desirous of be

Mark White has sold the Elkhorn
saloon to Herman Klietsch and Hans
Goos,preparatoryto a trip to the Klon
dike. The new firm will take pos
session tomorrow morning.
The city council met in regular ses
sion last evening. No business of im
portance was transacted, the usual
grist of bills being allowed. The slot
machines were not interfered with.
John Coleman went over to Du
buque Saturday for a visit with his
brother, Charles. He returned home
today and Mrs. Charles Coleman ac
companied him for a few day's visit.
L. G. Larson and Gus Hagerstrom
have just completed a neat barn for I.
Pearlman at the rear of his residence
and store property. It is conveniently
arranged and shows that Pearlman
is up to date.
