Think it over. Kememher that the
suspension ol I roe coinage occurreti
only about two years after the census

Then consider whether it is free silver
plus free trade that you want for the
next four years.
Wm:.T has gone up l:; cents per
bushel since the 1st of September and
silver has fallen 15 cents per ounce, but
that is not all. Millions on ioo of
millions of gold has been received al
New York from Lngl.md in payxent
for the ship loads of wheat which
has been purchased for the Liver
pool market. How do the Bryan
logiehiDs like that condition of
.'iflairs; wheat going up and silver
going down is a fatal blow be
low the belt of Mr. Bryan's hobby
which he hoped to ride upon into the
white house. The man who don't
think, as well its the man who does
can understand a plain statement of
fact.
A MAN named Porter has finally
been found with the temerity to run
for governor of New York on a demo
cratic free silver ticket. Porter seems
very like his friend Bryan in one re
spect, that is he looks upon the candi
dacy for a high office as being such a
big thing, and so much above what
he is accustomed to that ho does not
hesitate to accept a nomination, al
though defeat is certain.
