tion giving the contract for the
manufacture of the official catn
logues to W. H. Conkey & Co. They
will make vigorous protest and if
they do not avail they say they will
block the work so there will be no
World's Fair catalogues. The union
men say that the Conkey nhop is
notoriously unfair and that the
wages paid there are eden below
the non-union ncale. It is the only
shop in Chicago, they say, where a
union printer is not allowed to work
under any consideration. They an
nounce that they are full of light
and eay if the Conkey company
commences work on the job they
will steal his men from him and
render it impossible, for him to fin
ish the catalogue.

Pacific Tea company who came
here from Council Hltiffs recently
was arrested here today on a war
rant sworn out by Mrs. AiiHtin of
Council Hlulls charging him with
seduction. The nineth of Xovember
was set for the wedding, but Robin
son disappointed the waiting com
pany and disappeared. Mrs. A itstin
and a deputy sherill came here to
lay and made the arrest. Robin
son swore he would not marry her,
but when the patty got a mile out
of town 011 this evening's train he
changed his mind and pulled the
bell rope and all returned and a
wedding will lake place in the
morning.
