reporters, printers and boys were all on

Calbert did not know Mr. Eikenbay,
and when his visit was made known to

his man this morning, and a preliminary
hearing was had this afternoon before
Judge Russell, and the trial set for next
Tuesday at 10 a. in.

Since the rejection of the proposals for
the sewerage presented at a September
meeting of the conne'l, on account of
deficiencies, the board of public works
has been advertising for new bills for
sewearge. The bids were opened yester
day. At first there were three bids cast,

Plattsmouth, but II. C. McMacken with
drew his bid and on'y the two were left.
