WUEREAS, a j-int rf solution was adopted by ffce Legislature of the State of Kebiaska. at the Eighteeiith Session ihereof, and approv ed February 27th, a. d. 1883, proposing an Amendment to Section Four (4), of Article Three (3 of the Constitution of said State, and that said section as amended shall read as follows, to-wit : " Section 4. The term of ofllce of members of the Legislature shall be two year, and they Fiiall each receive a salary of three hundred dollars for their services dmintc eaid term, and ten cents for every mile they shall tiavel in ping ai.d returning from the plane of ireeting of the Legislature, on the most usual route. Provided, Ittntwer, that neither members ot the Legislature nor employees shall receive auy pay or perquisites other than their salary auti K-ileage. Each session, except special sessions, shall be not less than sixry days. After the expiration of folly days of the session no bills r.or joint resolutions of the nature of bills shall be introduced, unless the Governor shall, by special mes-aie. call the attention of the Leg islature to the necessity of passing a law on the subject matter embraced in the message, and the introduction of bills shall re restricted thereto. " The ballots at the election at which said Amendment shall be submitted shall be in the Xollowing'form : "For proposed Amendment to the Constitution relating to Legislative De partment." WItEKE AS, A joir.t resolution was adopted by the Legislature of the State of Nebraska at the Eighteenth session thereof, and approved February 28th. a. d. 1883. proposing an amend ment to beet Ion One (1) of Artie'e Five (5) of the constitution of said State, and that said sectiou as amended shall read as follows, to wit : "Section l The Executive Department shall consist of a Governor. Lieutenant Govern or. Secretary of State. Auditor of Public Ac counts. Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Ins ruction.
