The Judicial Convention.
The Judicial convention held here
today, saw a wide awake crowd of Lin -
colnites assembled here who were in
for fun. After a vast amount of par

was decided to take an informal ballot
for district attorney, and when the bal
lots were counted, although the in
struction! of the delegates were for
Strode, Ed Murfin, of Nebraska City,
had twenty-four vtcs and Strode four.
At the announcement of the vote, the
Lancaster delegates gave way to the
wildest cheering, and if Strode bad not
gotten hold of the joke, he would have
thought the proceedings boded no good
to him ; instead of taking a formal bal
lot, Mr. Strode, as the proceedings
Bhow, was nominated Dy acciamaiion.
Then the speech making commenced,
amid cheers and plaudits, the chairman
calling several speakers to order with
the information that this was no
Cleveland meeting and that no man
was on trial during the convention.
The adjournment of the convention
was made with three cheers for Blaine
and Logan.
