The election of directors of the St. Joseph & Western railway took place today at West St. Joseph, Ktnsus. The Union Pacific in terest and the Benedict party were equal in the number of shares repre sented. By a mutual understanding directors were chosen making about an equal division between the two inter est?. HEAVY STOKMS. Pittsburg, June 12. Point3 along the Allegheny valley were visited yes terday by one of the heaviest rain storms known in many years, causing the most destructive flood sioee lSC-l. At Brookville, Ta., a water spout hurst, and in less than two hours the creeks rose ten feet, transforming it into a 6cethiug, foaming torrent. The rapid rise gave mill men no chance whatever to save their stock. Dams at tbe North Fork mills, Bryant & Wainwrigbt's and Litch's mills gave way, carrying with them lumber valued at $70,000. Two bridges washed away and many small building were demoiihed. A number of families were driven from their homes and compeiien in eeek shelter elsewhere for the night.
