Commander Welsh, at Pensacola: "I,
on the 13th inst., issued to the destitute

was all I could do under orders of the
department. I was reliably informed
that a deposit of four thousand dollars
is now in the bank at Pensacola, sub
ject to the reserve relief committee,
and last night I informed the treasurer
thereof. I thought I had done all I
could at present nnder any orders. No
new cases and no new deaths among
the naval officers."
