Fine Music
Plattsmoutrt is being regaled today
with some of the most culrauciug mu
sic that is ever heard in this country.
The musicians, seven in number, are
frcm a German army baud, who are
visiting America on a tour of sight see
ing and pleasure havirg a years leave
of absence from the old country, hay
ing just well coaanj3nced their trip ou
this continent. Their mod us operandi
is to play ou the streets collecting what
ever their appreciative listeners wish
to contribute, and in this way they
meet all their expenses. While they
were in Cleveland, Ohio, their receipts
were some two hundred and fifty dol
lars, and in Omaha one hundred and
seventy-five dollars, so thy are evi
dently making their trip profitable as
well as pleasant.
Their music is simply grand, and
their selections of a very high order,
while they hold the attention of the
most obtuse listener by their splendid
playing. The Herald suggests that
if our German citizens should give them
a benefit that many others would be
glad to help in the undertaking.
A poverty stricken outfit struck the
town deadbroke Saturday night, but
through the kindness of John Simpson
and W. D. Jones they got a square meal
and were comfortably fixed up at
Jones' livery stable for the night, the
party, 15 iu all, left for the west this
morning.

impure state of tbe blood.
To cure these diseases the blood must be
purified, and restored to a healthy and na

for over forty years been recognized by emi
nent medical authorities as tbe most pow
erful blood purifier in existence. It frees
the system from all foul humors, enriches
and strengthens the blood, remoTes all traces
of mercurial treatment, and proves itself a
complete master of all scrofulous diseases.
A Eecent Cure of Scrofulous Sores.
'Some months ago I sras troubled vith
scrofulous sores (ulcers) on my legs, ihe
limbs were badly swollen and inflamed, and.
tho sores discharged large quantities of
trensiT matter. ETery remedy I tn ed
failed, until I used AVER'S Sarsaparilla,
of which I bare now taken three bottlej,
with tho result that the sores are healed,
and my general health greatly improved.
I feel very grateful for the good your
