der the auspices of the Epworth
League, at the residence of Frank
Davis on Eighth street. The com
modious dwelling was well filled
with young people who indulged
in pleasant games and conversation
interspaced with instrumental and
vocal musicall of which was highly
appreciated by those present. De
fore dismissing Kev. Hritt made a
few remarks in which he expressed
delight seeing so many young peo
ple who were either connected with
the young people's society in the
church or whose sympathies ran in
that direction; and expressed a hope
that the relations between him, his
family and the young people of
I'lattstnouth.'jjinight be eminently
pleasant and profitable. Other
singing wan participated in by all,
at the conclusion of which the com
pany repaired to their homes.
Kev. Hritt enters upon his pastor
ate at this pls.ce with a zest and en
thusiasm that promises well and
doubtless with proper co-operation
on the part of the citizens his labors
will be eminently successful.
