At the law school commencement exercises of the Columbia College at Washington a few days ago, ex senator Henderson was the orator of the day and among other good things remarked the following. "When I see the thriftyr farmer leaning upon the government in stead of upon the plow for support and a workman wasting his time organizing labor unions against capital, because it is not his own. and complaining that the world is unkind, the words ot Cassius come vividly to my recollection: 'The fault; dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves thus we are underlings.' " Mr. Henderson spoke contemptu ously of the parliament of Fmgland from which lawyers were by law or public opinion excluded and said: As history continues to repeat it self, some new party in America may give us a congress of the same sort. If so it is at least fortunate that centuries intervene between such acts of folly." Peter F31!ington is busily engaged decorating ie corner room in the AnheuserBusc.'' block for Philip Theiroff.
