lent nt the Lansing theatre tonight has
had a thorough revising by Mr. A.
Hearne, so well known in the dramatic
world as tho author of "Hearts of Oak"
"Margaret Fleming' "Drifting Apart"
Shores Acres" etc. Since it was last
here tho changes in "Olo Olson" make
the play as strong in Its sensational
features as it has been heretofore in
comedy. The greatest alterution how
ever, occurs in tho third act, which has
been entirely rewritten. Comedy is
entirely obliterated from the act, it
being tho opinion of Mr. Hearne that
with bo much comedy (n the other acts,
the play would bo bettor balanced in its
ew form and ho is uudouhtrdly correct.
The 'final performance of "Olo Olson"
will be given at tho Lansing tonight.
John Dillon presented "A Model Hub

the major minstrol organizations on the

been something of a transformation

latest specialties, and tho performance
is said to bo an exhibition of minstrelsy

There would scorn to. bo no telling
nowadays what a first class attraction is.
Last season in noarly all of Charles
Frohman's strictly "first class attrac
tions" and companies which had hither
to played only to so called legitimise
audiences, u skirt dancer and music hull
singor wub not only tho chief attraction,
but was of tremendous financial assist
ance. This season it has even gone
further. There is scarcely an organiza
tion either playing at 15 cents or $1.50
which does not depend more or less for
its money drawing qualities on a fluffy
haired young woman who can either
tiptoe the ceiling or display her nether
limbs. With the sock and buskin, "the
first class attraction" threatens to be
come an obsolete phrase in (he theat
rical dictionary.
During the duel scene between Mev
ctititi and Tybalt, in "Romeo and Juliet,"
at the Duquesne theatre, Pittsburg, last
Saturday, Thomas Keeno.tho tragedian,
accidentally thrust his sword into tho
eye of Lawrence Lowell, destroying tho
sight. Lowell wua playing Benvolio,
and when Mercutio (Keono) stabbed
7oaft (Robert T. HnineB) Lowell, who
caught Haines when ho fell, received
tho Bword thruBt in tho eye. Tho sharp
pointed blade pierced tho pupil and nar
rowly escaped entering tho brain.
Lowell was removed to tho Hotel Sch
lossor and will not bo able to appear
again for several weeks. Tho physicians
say tho oyo will bo blind. Mr. Keeno
was very much depressed over tho un
fortunate affair. His wife will remuin
with Lowell until he recovers. Lowell
formerly lived in Seattle.

There is moro cutarrh in this section
of the country than all other
diseases put together, and until tho last
few years was supposed to bo Incurable
For a great many years doctors pro
nounced it a local disease, and prescribed
local remedies, and by constantly failing
to cure with local treatment, pronounced
it incurable. Science has proven catarrh
to be a constitutional disease and there
fore requires constitutional treatment.
Hall's Catarrh Cure, manufactured by
F. J. Cheney A Co.. Toledo, O., is tho
only constitutional cure on the market.
It Ih taken internally in doses from 10
drops to a tcasoonful. It acts directly
on the blood and mucous surfaces of tho
Bystem. They offer HX) for any case it
fails to cure. Send for circulars and
