    Barbara Banks Weds
Arthur G. Frisch in
Methodist Ceremony
Barbara Banks and Arthur G.
Frisch were united in marriage
.<t the Methodist church Sunday
at 8 p.m. The Rev. Glenn Kenni
ott officiated at the double ring
ceremony, before 150 guests.
Their parents are Mr and Mrs.
Sam Banks and Mrs. Ethel
Frisch, all of O'Neill.
The bride given in marriage by
her father, chose a waltz length
gown of white nylon and acetate
lace with nylon net. The scallop
ed skirt had an apron effect in
the back revealing the ruffled
net underskirt. The back was al
so accented with a V neck and
bow. The waist was accented by
cummerbund. The bride’s cor
sage was gladioli and lily of
the valley. Her only jewelry was
a pearl necklace, a gift of the
groom.
Cathy Banks, Casper, Wyo.,
was bridesmaid. She wore a coral
pink brocade dress with white ac
cessories She carried a colonial
bouquet of white and blue fea
thered carnations.
Larry Frisch, Lincoln, was his
brother’s best man. Ushers were
James Banks and PFC Edward
Gene Ennen, Arlington, Va.
Mrs. Grant Peacock sang “1
Love You Truly” and “The
Lord’s Prayer”, accompanied by
Mrs. Harold Soger, organist.
Following the ceremony a re
ception was held with 125 guests
present.
The bride attended O’Neill Pub
lic school.
The groom attended Verdigre
and O’Neill public school. He is
employed at Galyen Motor Com
pany as a mechanic.
After a short wedding trip they
w;ll be at home in Atkinson.

daughter who died in infancy and

A dinner for more than 100
guests was served at noon in the
church basement. An additional
150 guests registered for the af
ternoon reception.
The dinner, reception and de
corations were under the chair
manship of Mrs. Rudy Funk, Mrs
Louis Funk and Mrs. Frank Bohn
l hey were assisted by ladies and
girls of the parish.
A four tier anniversary cake
was b-iked and decorated by Mrs.
Carl Thiele and Mrs. Jim Mc
Nally of N’eligh and cut and serv
ed by Mrs Earl Schindler and
Mrs. Alice Roemerman.
Mr James McDonald and Mrs
Vic Bollwitt poured the punch
and Mrs. Marilyn Burk and Mrs.
Harold Werkmeister, the coffee.
Mrs. Martin Van Conet and Mrs.
Joe Knievel registed the guests
Mrs. William Schindler and Mrs.
Lily Scott acted as hostesses for
the dinner and reception. Mrs.
Charles Bartak was in charge of
the gift and cards. Entertainment
was furnished by the Schindler
Laurene Kaup Weds
Dick Bogue Saturday
In Catholic Ceremony
Laurene Kaup, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Wilfred Kaup, Stuart,
was united in marriage to Dick
Bogue, son of Mrs. Mabel Bogue
and the late Cecil Bogue, Atkin
son in a 9:30 a.m. double ring
ceremony, Saturday. The Rev. A.
J. Paschang officiated, at St.
Boniface Catholic church, before
an altar decorated with pink and
white peonies.
Traditional wedding music was
provided by the soloist James Hy
trek and accompanied by Sister
M. Vera O. S. F., at the organ.
The bride given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown of
chantilly lace and silk organza.
The fitted bodice featured a
scalloped neckline of lace enhan
ced with seed pearls and sequins,
and long sleeves tapered to points
at the wrists. The full flowing
skirt was fashioned with cascad
ing tiers of chantilly lace and silk
organza which extended into the
full chapel sweep train.
The bride's two tier veil fell
from a crown of pearls of clipp
ed chantilly lace. She carried a
bouquet of orchids and stephano
tis.
Donna Humphry, Atkinson, was
maid of honor. She wore a street
length gown of pale blue with
three quarter length sleeves and
a rounded neckline. The skirt
was bell-shaped and was accent
ed by a large flower in the back.

honor. They also carried bou

phy as flower girls, appeared in
white dresses of Chantilly lace
over silk organza. They wore
white head bands and gloves.
Billy Kramer was the ringbear
er.
Dale Doolittle, Amelia, was best
man. Other attendants were Dale
Bogue, Omaha and Rolland Kaup.
Ushers were Frank Murphy, Jer
ry Steinhojser, Delbert Rossman
and Mike O’Connor.
A reception following the cere
mony for 250 guests, was held in
the Stuart auditorium.
Mrs. Walter Kaup baked and
decorated the wedding cake
which was served by Mrs. Ed
ward Schneider. Mrs. Delbert
Rossman registered the guests
and the bride’s attendants pre
sided at the gift table. Coffee and
punch was poured by Mrs. Cle
ment Murphy and Mrs. Sy Kra
mer.
A supper was held at the home
of the bride’s parents for 40 rela
tives and friends.
The bride is a graduate of Stu
art High School and the groom
graduated from Atkinson High
school. He is employed on a
ranch south of Atkinson where
they will live.
