Kamphaus, O’Neill, is being re assigned to Mountain Home AFB Ida., following his graduation from the United States Air Force technical training course for electrical production specialists here. Airman Kamphaus learned to operate and repair diesel engine generators used to fjrnish elec tric power to Air Force instal lations. The airman is the son of Mrs. Juliana Kamphaus, O’Neill, and is a graduate of St. Mary's Aca demy. He entered the service last September. Ewing News By .Vim. Harold Harris Weekend guests at the J. L. Pruden home were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Murphy and daughter of Omaha. On Saturday, Mrs. Pru den and the Murphy family ac companied Mr. Pruden to Ord to spend the day while he attended the sale there. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Munn and family were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Napier, celebrating Easter and also the birthday anniversary’ of Mrs. Munn. Members of the Fry and Napier families were also present. A no-host dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Urban ac companied by Mr. and Mrs. John Honeywell of Chambers, return ed home from Omaha Tuesday where they had overnight guests at the home of Mrs. Joe Sinkule. Mrs. Josephine Elston, who had spent a few days at the Richard Williamson home in Bellevue, re turned home Sunday accompan ied by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williamson who spent the Easter holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Williamson. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Forslund and daughter, Hazel Ruby, Elsi^ Chase and Mrs. Minerva Fors lund were entertained Easter Sunday at the home of Mrs. Al thea Peterson. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Doud Sun day were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Latzel and family of Ewing, Mrs. Lillie Meyers of Clearwater and Mrs. Mabel Caubarris of Neligh. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Tom jack and family spent Easter Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Taylor at Oak dale. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hall of Royal and Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Harris were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Butler Eas ter 9unday after attendeding church services. Alex Thramer, owner and op erator of the local Gambles store, accompanied by Herbert Kirsch mer went to Minneapolis, Minn.. Sunday, where they will attend a Service Gamble Store Training School from April 15 through 19. The senior class of the Ewing high school presented their play Tuesday, April 9 with two per mances, a matinee in the after noon fo" the grade students and others and in the evening with a good crowd in attendance. “Gone With the Girls” was this year’s three act comedy. Mrs. Amber Schlotman was the direc tor. In the cast were Clayton Hoke. Faye Scheer, Sharon Mott, Kay Bergstrom, Lois Woslager, Victor Thoendel, Bonnie Welke, Virtus Lee, Barbara Ernesti, Myra Ro therham and Jack Kropp. Entertainment between acts were a number by a clarinet quartet, Dennis Anson, Charlene Miller, Gloria Hamilton and Vic ki Miller; a piano duet by Judy and Joan Spangler; and a vocal selection by the triple trio, Faye Scheer, Glenellen McDaniels Sherry Switzer, Sandra Tellander Judy Spangler, Barbara Ernesti Joan Miller, Kay Bergstrom and JoAnn Williamson. Joan Spang ler was the pianist. Committees for the play were: Tickets, Virtus Lee, Jack Kropp Lois Woslager, Myra Rotherham Larry Juracek; Advertising, Barbara Ernesti. Myra Rother ham, Lois Woslager, Kay Berg strom, Sharon Mott; Programs Sharon Mott, Barbara Ernesti; Ushers and programs, Larry Jur acek, Roger Ernesti, Jerry Bau er and Jack Kropp. Mrs. Ernest Wright and Ben wtio have been guests of Mrs Gladys Steskal at the home of Mrs George Wright for the past week, left Thursday to return to their home at McCall, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rother ham and family spent the Eas ter weekend at Denver, Colo., with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Napier and children of Hayesville, Kan. are guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Cloyd ' and Mr. and Mrs. Web Napier for the Easter vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle McNabb and family and Mrs. Frank Agusta and daughter, Ann Marie, of Om aha spent the weekend of April 5 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rotherham. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Butler went to Norfolk Saturday where they were guests for a pre-Easter family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. McDonald and family. Other relatives were pre sent from Vermillion, S. D. and Iowa. i Mrs. Agnes Bartak of Plainview is a guest at the home of Mrs. Bertha Archer this week and al so calling on old friends in Ew ing. Wm. J. Boies, who is employed at Rushville, spent the holiday weekend with his family in Ew ing. Douglas Shrader has completed his second year at the Nebraska State Teachers College at Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Shrader moved this weekend to their home northeast of Ewing. Mrs. Rose Bauer entertained the following guests on Easter Day at her home, Geraldine Bau er, of Lincoln, Catherine Bauer of Fremont, Mr. and Mrs. Doug las Shrader and Mrs. Gail Boies of Ewing. A one o’clock dinner was served and the afternoon hours were spent visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Davis were hosts for a family gather ing at their home Easter Sun day. Present were their parents Mr. and Mrs. Orval Davis of Va lentine and Mr. and Mrs. Van Creager of Meadow Grove, and Mr. and Mrs. Mick Davis of Mission, S. D. Miss Betty Wright returned to Omaha Sunday after spending the holiday weekend with her mo ther, Mrs. Alfred Wright. Miss Kay Bergstrom entertain ed the members of the senior class at her home Tuesday eve ning after the class play at the auditorium of the Ewing public school. Mr. anti Mrs Francis Hoffman and family of Stevens Point Wise., who have been guests at her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bergstrom for a few days, left Salurda> to go to Pierce to visit relatives.
