Sne is getting along as well as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Watterman of Orchard have been helping with the care ot the Louis Watlerman children. They make their home with their grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Warriner and son, Center, were visitors at her parents home, Wednesday. Mrs. Leona Finch received word that her grandson, Steven Sufficool was taken to the Ne ligh hospital Wednesday morn ing when he went into a con vulsion. Steven remained in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Dwin dell, Verdigre, were Wednesday visitors at the home of their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Finch and Randy. Sunday Mr and Mrs. Harry Caskey visited at the home of their son and daughter-in-iaw, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Caskey, Monte and Angela, O’Neill. The Telephone meeting was held Monday evening, April 1, at school district 1» with a nice crowd attending. Mrs. Dale Dorr was hostess to a neighborhood party, Monday. Mrs. Max LeMaster received the drawing prize. There were 16 la dies present. Lunch was served by the hostess. Mrs. Harry Caskey helped Mrs Ralph BrookhoUser with wall papering, Tuesday. Mrs. Clarence Finch jr. enter tained the Help-U-club at her home, Wednesday. The hostess served dinner at noon. Present were 12 members and one visitor, Mrs. Marcus Dwindell. The ladies picked walnut meats and did needlework for the hos tess. A donation was sent to the Cancer fund. Mrs. Francis Boel ter received the door prize. Mrs. Ora Caskey will have the next meeting. Mrs. Edna Boelter was a Creighton shopper Thursday. Mrs. Roscoe Groeling attended \ to the telephone switch while she was gone. UsrpeMer The farm sale of Mr. and Mrs. John Ritterbush held at their place west of town Wednesday ls reported to have been very suc cessful and with a good attend dance in spite of the cold hard wind which blew all day. Mr and Mrs E. R. Carpenter were supper guests of their daghter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Stevens and family Friday and attended the Junior class play. Miss Eula Wintermote left on Monday of last week for McCook, where she will have her head quarters as Home Demonstra tion agent for four counties and part of another. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Baughn, who had spent some time with her mother, Mrs. John Winter mote since the funeral of her sis ter, Mrs. Ida Howard left on Tuesday of last week for their home at Brookings, Ore. They planned to visit relatives in Wy oming enroute home. Spring school vacation in the Chambers district will begjn at 2.30 p.m. Thursday. School will resume again Tuesday a.m. April 16. Mrs. Ron Berg, nee Mary Ellen Gillette, Denver, Colo., was hon ored at a shower Tuesday p.m. at the Methodist church parlors in Chambers. Mrs. Berg is a teacher in the Denver school system. She will spend a few days during the Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dar rel Gillette and Darrel Lee.
