Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Keller drove to Amherst, Nebr., Sunday, where they spent the day with their daughter and family, the Larry Pfeiffer's. They returned Sunday evening. Mrs. Leonard Chaffin visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Mellor on Sunday evening. John Schwindt, Milton McKath nie, Connie Frickel, Stanley John son helped Jim Sicheneder brand and spray cattle on Friday. They were all at the Sicheneder home for dinner. Mrs. Milton McKathnie and children had supper with Mrs Hans Lauridson, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Lauridson were in O’Neill and Butte on business Wednesday. Mrs. James Kubart called on Mrs. Hans Lauridson Friday p.m. Miss Dorothy Scott and Mrs. Duke Hoffman and Gary and Glenn Frickel were supper guests at the Duane Becks on Monday evening. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Focken sr. and children were callers. Jim Thompson of O’Neill was a dinner guest at the Hans Laurid son home Sunday. In the after noon he and Bob Krudson drove to Naper where they visited with a friend, Gary Reper. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Lauridson and son and Jim Lauridson drove to Spencer Sunday afternoon and had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lauridson and family. Mrs. Hans Lauridson called on Mrs. Inez Hayes Thursday. Mrs. Hayes has been quite sick with the flu. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack vis ited with her mother, Mrs. Arp in Butte Sunday p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Frickel and family were Sunday evening Sjpper guests of her mother, Mrs. Joe Liable near Stuart. The Celia Pinochle club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Sicheneder on Friday night. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Nat chel Rzeszotarski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Momson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kilmurry and family, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Beck and family, Mr and Mrs. Duke Hoffman and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Addi son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sicheneder and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Schwindt and Va nitta and Mr. and Mrs. A. Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Beck and family. Ed Hoffman, Inez Hayes and Mrs. Iva Deseive were Sun day dinner guests of the Duke Hoifmans. Mrs. Duke Hoffman attended the Mass Chorus and Honor Band Program given at the High School Auditorium on Tuesday evening. It was put on by a cumber of visiting schools. Mrs. Duke Hoffman attended the Lenten Services at the St. John’s Lutheran church on Wed nesday evening. Mrs. Duke Hoffman, teacher at the Pioneer school, reports there were three children got to be a year older thia month, in the school. They were entertained with a party and gifts by their teacher. The honored guests were Anne Schaff, 13 yrs., Phil lip Fritz, 7 yrs. and Esther Poes snecker, 8 yrs. Miss Dorothy Scott was a guest for supper at the Clarence Fock en home Friday. They brought Ricky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendricks and Mr. and Mrs. Om er Points of Stuart who had been visiting in Kansas the past two weeks. Leons took Mr. and Mrs Points to Okmulgee, Okla., last weekend for a visit with Mr. Points children and their fami lies. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Klinger and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendricks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hendricks and fam ily and Mr. and Mrs. Omer Points were Saturday supper guests at the Mark Hendricks home. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendricks and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Rev. Elmore Blaine home. Mr. and Mrs. John Schwindt and Vanitta were visitors at the Alex Frickel home Sunday eve ning. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Ratliff and Dianna were Sunday the 24th supper guests at the John Schwindt home. Mrs. Connie Frickel entertained the Celia Homemakers Project club at her home on Wednesday with Mrs. Algot Hammerburg as co-hostess. All the members but three were in attendance. The les son on floor care was given by Mrs. Merrill Anderson and Mrs. Hans Lauridson. On Saturday night Bonnie Fric kel was an overnight guest of Judy Momson and Shirley Mom son stayed with Beverly Frickel. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Henderson and family of Valentine and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coleman of Atkin son visited at the Vic Frickel home on Sunday, the 31st. Glenn Frickel spent the week end with his cousin, Gary Hoff man. Mr. and Mrs. John Sicheneder visited at the Vic Frickel home Sunday p.m. On Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Peters of Norfolk, who have been visiting at the Natchel Rzeszotar ski home for several days and Mr. and Mrs. Rzeszotarski drove to Clearwater where they attend ed the farm sales of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ahlers. Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Ahlers are sisters. Follow ing the sale Mr. and Mrs. Peters returned to their home in Nor folk. Michele Rzeszotarski helped serve the Athletic banquet which was given the athletic boys from both schools. It was held at the K. C. hall and was served by the Sr. girls and the Cheerleader girls. Jerome Gilg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gilg, spent Sun day with Tommy Rzeszotarski. In the afternoon the boys went fish ing but the only thing hungry enough to bite were the two boys. Mr. and Mrs. Merwyn French ar. were joined by their son and family, Mr. and Mrs Merwyn French jr., Friday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Brouse, Lincoln. Other supper guests were Dennis Ickes, student at the Lin coin University. Sunday dinner guests in the Frank Beelaert home were Mr and Mrs. Harry Harper, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prill and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Beelaert and girls. Mrs. J. W. Finch and her mother, Mrs. Ethel Waring, spent Wednesday in the home of Mrs. Robert Pease, Niobrara. The oc casion was to help Mrs. Pease celebrate her birthday. Mrs. Harry Harper received word of the death of a cousin, A1 bert Nichelson, 70, in Cozad. Mr. Nichelson was the son of Benj. and Martha Nichelson early homesteaders m this community. Mrs. Allen Haynes and Mrs. Nell Storm are also cousins of Albert. Mrs. N. D. Ickes is staying with Mrs. Hester, Edmisten nights. Hester came to her home over the weekend from Lincoln where she had spent the winter months, with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bo IU1. Mr. and Mrs. Cnaries Wegman visited in the Norman Saitz home Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorensen sr. visited Sunday in the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor, O’Neill. They also visited Clayton Messner and daughter, Leta Ree. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Holliday, Grand Island, were Monday vis itors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Les Lines and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ickes. Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Kelly and her mother, Mrs. Anna Thomp son spent Sunday in Wayne vis iting Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Hansen and family. Seven members attended the Bible Study in the Allen Haynes home Monday afternoon. The Rev. Robert Linder gave an in teresting talk. Mrs. Haynes gave the lesson. They will again meet next Monday at the Haynes home. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Snyder visited relatives in Sioux City, go ing via Yankton Saturday, return ing Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Undine and Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Peters and son, Sioux City, were weekend visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. O. Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ballantyne and children visited in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Charles Wegman, one day last Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eggen were Sunday afternoon and lunch guests in the Elsworth Pedersen home in Neligh. Mrs. Lorenz Riege and Mrs. Otto Matschullat attended Aid Thursday at the Lutheran church. Vernon F. Linnaus, formerly of Page, now a business teacher in the public school system in Los Alamos, N. M. has been awarded a scholarship to the Family Fi nance Workshop at the Univer sity of Oklahoma from June 17 to July 26. The workshop sponsored by the Institute of Life Insurance Com panies of America, is for gradu ate work in business education. Mr. Linnaus has also recently been elected secretary of the North Central District of the New Mexico Education Association. Mr. Linnaus was superintendent of schools at Page in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Terrill came home last week from Denver, Col.
