Word has been received by Mrs. Louisa Van Conet of the death of her brother, Martin Ford at his home in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Ford will be re membered by Ewing folks when he worked with the late Andrew Davis at carpentering in the Ew ing community. During WW I he worked in the Glenn L. Martin plant in Om aha. He was later transferred to their plant in Baltimore. Here he bought a home and with his wife, Christina, spent his re maining years. Mrs. Ralph Eacker and Mrs. J. L. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dunaway. Mrs. Althea Peterson came home Friday from Neligh where she had spent several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Peterson, making the acquain tance of a new granddaughter, Rhonda Fay. Mike Wenner spent last weekend in Omaha where Mrs. Mike Wen ner spent her time with her mother, Mrs. Fern Davis, who was hospitalized. They returned to Atkinson Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin MeClurg came from Broken Bow last Sat urday to spend the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer MeClurg. When they returned to Broken Bow on Sunday they were accompanied by their daughter, Marcia, who had spent a few days in Atkinson with her grand parents. Wes Kirkland left Tuesday for Lubbock, Tex., where he w’ilJ spend the rest of the winter with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Friedrichs and family. Mrs. Fern Davis returned home last Saturday from Omaha where she has been hospitalized for the past two weeks, in the Methodist hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Tindell re turned home Monday after spend ing the past two weeks in Akron, la. and other points visiting rela tives and friends.
