No amount was given due to the fact that a benefit basketball game will be held in February. All clubs that wish to help with this worthy cause are asked to send their donations to Mrs. C. E. Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Kopecky attended the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Frank Snyder Monday after noon at Page. Raymond Stamp entered St. Anthony’s hospital Sunday for medical treatment. John R. and Richard Watson, O’Neill, spent Sunday and Mon day visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Watson while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Watson were in Omaha on busi ness. WSCS of the Inman Methodist church met Thursday afternoon at the church annex for their regular meeting. Ten members attended the meeting. The first lesson of a Book Review “Dimen sion of Prayer” was given by Rev Linder. Lunch was served at the close of the afternoon by Mrs. Ira Watson. Inman Cub Scout Dens 1 and 2 of Pack 283 met Monday after noon at 4 p.m. in the 4th and 5th grade room. The boys sang ••America” and “The Star Spang led Banner”. The work for the day consisted of practicing their skit about the American flag and great battles in which our na tion has taken part. Five minutes of physical fitness exercises fol lowed and then the flag salute was given by all. Niki Keil treat ed the boys to cookies. Mrs. Mau rice Widtfeldt and Mrs. Harvey Tompkins were the den mothers present. The Inman Boy Scout Troop No. 283 met in the Manual Arts building Monday evening. The boys were given a review of their activities preparatory to their appearing before the Board of Review. Donald Keyes, Scout master and Harvey A. Tompkins were present with the Boy Scouts. Margaret Pruss, Clearwater, spent the weekend visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pruss and family. Frank Sobotka returned Wed nesday from St. Anthony's hos pital where he was a medical patient for several days. He is staying with his brother. John Sobotka at the present time. Ernest Trowbridge returned Thursday evening from Page where he spent three weeks look ing after the Elmer Trowbridge farm while the Trowbridges were on vacation in Colorado. Mr. and Mr*. Mrs Pauline Anderl and Fran cis have been visiting in the home of Mr and Mrs Karl Keyes for a few days. The regular meeting of the In man Community club was held Monday evening Mr. and Mrs T. D. Hutton and Mr. and Mrs. Harry McGraw were program chairman for the evening and the program consisted of a film about safety habits and the high inci dence of non-traffic accidents. The film was entitled NO DE FENSE- A second film was shown which explained the need for continuing our support to the 1963 March of Dimes to treat those who have birth defects, ar thritis, and other crippling dis eases. After a short business meeting, refreshments were serv ed by the refreshment hosts for the evening, the Cal Gearys and the Harvey Tompkins. The Boy Scout troop were guests of the Community club for the program. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Widtfeldt and family were supper guests of the Harvey Tompkins famify Sat urday evening. The Inman Public School grade basketball team journeyed to At kinson Saturday afternoon where they met the grade team of St. Joseph’s Academy in the Public School Gymnasium. Two games were played with St. Joseph's be ing the winner of both.
