Judy Rae Wait, Sam L. Watson Are Wed at Stromsburg Judy Rae Wait, Stromsburg and Sam L. Watson, Inman were united in marriage at a 3:30 p.m. ceremony at the First Methodist church, Stromsburg, Dec. 23, 1902. Performing the double-ring cere mony was the Rev. Lester Ander son, Stromsburg. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wait, Stroms burg and Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Wat son, Inman. Lighting the candles were Bar bara Hall, Scottsbluff and Rita Nelson, Lincoln. They wore white robes and red and white carna tion wrist corsages. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. John Lauber, Seward, sang “I Love Thee” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Rudy Randell. The bride appeared in a floor length gown of white taffeta, which featured long, pointed sleeves, a princess-style waist and a scoop necked bodice decor ated with venise lace. The skirt swept to an aisle-wide train. Her illusion veil was held by a jew eled crown. She carried a bou quet of red roses. Matron of honor was Mrs. Rich ard T. Johnson, Stromsburg, the bride’s only sister. Mrs. Edwin A. Langley, Omaha, a sister of the groom, was brides matron. The attendants wore street-length dresses of red brocade which fea tured scooped necklines, bell skirts and bows at the waistline of the bodice back. They wore white fur pillbox hats and car Priscilla Ann Moller, Thomas Al Drayton Wed at Wakefield Priscilla Ann Moller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moller, Wakefield, was united in mar riage to Thomas Al Drayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gurney Dray ton, Orchard at the First Pres byterian church, Wakefield. The Rev. John Brunn officiated at the Dec. 28 wedding. The bride who was given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown of w'hite de lustered satin, which featured a bell skirt accented at the waist by a small bow. The dress’s sim ple bodice with long pointed sleeves was complimented by a short cape descending into a cha pel train. Her floor length veil fell from a pill box head dress of matching white satin. 9he carried a bouquet of white calla lillies. Kathleen Moller. Wakefield, served as her sister’s maid of hon or. Her bridesmaids were Mary Ann Harris, Janice Olson and Ro zan Drayton. They were all iden .— •" riod white fur muffs, decorated with red poinsettas and white sa tin streamers. Red patent shoes completed their ensembles. Serving as best man was John C. Watson, O’Neill, the groom’s only brother. Groomsman was Roland Hansen, Inman and ush ers were Ronald Tesch, Pierce and Eugene Peck, Auburn. During the ceremony, John Lauber, Seward sang “With This Ring” and Mrs. Lauber sang, “Hear Our Prayer,” written by Wilbur Chenoweth, uncle of the groom. Following the ceremony the couple sang a duet, “Sweet heart, Sweetheart”. A reception followed in the church parlors. A three-tier wed ding cake was decorated with white bells with insets of holly. Cutting the cake was Mrs. Wil liam Slusher, Valentine, sister of the groom. Assisting her was Ruth Ann Watson, O’Neill. Pour ing coffee was Elaine Dorr, Falls City and Carleen Rogers, Burwell served the punch. Nancy Watson, O’Neill, Mrs. Ted Pfieifer and Mrs. William Schellpepper, both of Lincoln, served at the recep tion. Mrs. Howard Rasmussen, Lin coln, was in charge of the guest book and assisting at the gift table were Mrs. Larry Cook. Stromsburg, Judy Umberger, Lincoln and Steve and Tom Slus her, Valentine. Mr. and Mrs. Watson are at home at 535 South 41st Street, Omaha. Mrs. Watson is teaching with the Omaha Public Schools and Mr. Watson is attending the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. tic ally gowned in pine green vel veteen dresses which followed the design of the bride’s dress. It featured a street length bell skirt accented at the waistline by a wide contour belt and bow. The bodice of the dress was accented by an elbow length cape of match ing green velveteen. They wore small haloes of white fur on their heads. Matching green satin pumps completed the ensemble and the girls carried white muffs trimmed with holly. Terry Drayton, Orchard, was the best man. Lyle Trease, Lin coln, Kenneth Withee, Plainview and Will Edwards, Lincoln were groomsmen. Ushers were Dennis Drayton and Allen West. Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the church with Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Peter sen and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Gustafson as hosts and hostesses. Registering the guests were Mrs. James Alexander. Dorothy Shallenberger was in charge of the gift book and Mrs. Norman West and Gertrude Gribble pre sided at the table. Dinner was at the M & M Bakery followed by briiige at her home. Winners were Mrs Robert Devoy and Mrs. Ed Glee son. There will be a card party Sun day, Jan 13 at the Parish Hall. Mrs. Joe Stutz and Mrs. Clyde McKenzie have charge of the program. The O'Mcnde club met Tuesday evening. Hostesses were Mrs Bertha McNair and Mrs. Violet Sholes. Mrs Clinton Smith and son of Valentine were guests Sunday of her nephew, Leonard Davis and family. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lee Brady and baby were Saturday night guests of Mrs Lee Brady. They left for Lincoln Sunday afternoon. Mrs Leta Miles and daughter, Mrs. Kermit Keler and husband, returned to Lincoln Sunday, after visiting Mrs. Lee Brady Mrs. W. H. Harty returned Sat urday after a two week trip to visit her son, James and family in Denver and her daughter, Sis ter Mary Brian, Buhl, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. James Vetter, Jim and Chuck Froelich, return ed to Washington D. C. last week, having spent the holidays with Mr and Mrs. William Froelich Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Morgan left Friday for Hampton, la. Mrs. John Robinson will join them and go to Phoenix, Ariz for a month to visit relatives. Edith Gallagher returned to Omaha Sunday to resume teach ing in the Omaha Public Scools, after being with her parents since before Christmas. Bill Shoemaker left last week end for Spokane, Wash., where he attends Gonzaga University. He is the son of Mrs. Leona Shoe maker and was home for the holidays. Mrs. John Pithan, who is mov ing to Norfolk, was honored by the members of the BBC club last Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Edward 9chmit. Late refreshments were served following bridge play. Mrs. Bob Forwood was a guest. High score was won by Mrs. Don Kellner, second-high by Mrs. John Pithan, and low Mrs. Edw. Schmit. Mrs. Ethel Cole was hostess to the Delta Deks Thursday eve ning. Dinner was at the Town House, with playing of bridge at her home. Mrs. John Osenbaugh return ed Saturday from visiting her daughter, Mrs. H. J. Cox and family at Mullen, another daugh ter, Mrs. Ruth Hilderhoff and family, Seneca, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Osenbaugh, North Platte. Mrs. Cox brought her to O’Neill Saturday and returned Sunday to Mullen. About forty members of the O’ Neill Woman’s club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. H.J. Birmingham. She showed pictures and statues of Madonnas, told where they were from and gave a history of them. Hostesses were Mrs. K. L. VanVoorhis, Mrs. Marvin Miller, Mrs. L. A. Bur gess and Mrs. Wayne Spelts. Mrs C. E. Lundgren was hos tess to the Wednesday afternoon Bridge club. Luncheon was serv ed at the Town House with cards at her home. The Alpha club met Wednes day afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ramsey and children returned to their home at Atlantic, la., after spending New Year’s hohday with her par ents, Mr and Mrs. James Cav anaugn. The hospital auxiliary held their regular business meeting January 7 at 8 p in. at the hospital with a good attendance. The consti tution was revised and will be published in the papier next week. A bazaar is being planned for October. Our present project is to make children's pajamas for the hospital. All outside help is great ly needed and will be appreciat ed.
