Mark llnodririi Mrs. Connie Fricke! and Mrs. George Syfie visited their sister, Mi's Uyrl Beck, Thursday pm Mrs. Beck will go to Omaha on Sunday where she expats to en ter the hospital for surgery on her shoulder. She has been ill for some time with bersitis. Nancy Beck, daughter of the Byrl Becks, visited over the week end at the Alex Frickel home. Patty Liable visited at the Beck home over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Frickel and family visited at the Thilo Poes senecker home New Year’s night. . On Friday evening the Alex Frickel family were supjter guests at the Joe Liable home. The occasion was Mr. Liable’s •birthday. Olher guests were Mr. and Mrs. Felix Liable and fam ily and .Mr. and Mrs. Ait Ziska and son. Mr. and Mrs Marvin Meals, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Meals, Mr. and Mrs. Harry VanFleet and Mrs. Bertha Gondertnger were Sunday dinner guests of the Nat chel Rzeszotarski’s. The children spent the afternoon on the skat ing pond. , Mr. and Mrs. Herman .Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mey er jr. and daughters, drove to Wayne where they were dinner .guests at the Evan Meyer home on New Year’s. • Mr. and Mrs. D W. Allard, for mer residents of this community, now living in Rapid City, S. I)., are celebrating their Golden Wed ding on 9unday. Dorothy Scott was a dinner guest of the Duane Becks Fri day. Mr. ami Mrs. Beck and children were supper guests of his mother, Mrs. Helen Beck, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. August Troshyn ski were New Year’s night sup per guests of their daughter and family, the Frank Kilmurry’s. Mr. and Mrs. Natchel Rzeszo tarski and family and Mrs. Ber tha Gondermger were New Year's dinner guests of the Meals fam ilies. Elmer Goldfuss shelied corn for Natchel Rzeszotarski on Wednes day. Others helping were Felix and Ronnie Liable, Donald Rzes zotarski and Mr. and Mrs. Mel vin Meals. Mr. an«l Mrs. Natchel Rzesz<> larski hauled a load of corn to the Felix Liable place on Thurs day. Mr and Mrs. Bruce Hoffman returned to their home at Ppitt, Kan,, on Wednesday and Charles Chaffin returned to his school work at Miitonvale, Kan., the same day. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith and family, Page, were callers at the Leonard Chaffin home in the afternoon on New Year’s Day. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hendricks and Arlin, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Points of Stuart and Mr. Bob Hendricks, also Mr. and Mrs. Harold Klinger and girls were New Year’s Day dinner guests at the Richard Klinger home in At kinson. Little Terry Klinger visited at the home ot bis grandparents, the Mark Hendricks for several days last week. Dennis Colfack was a supper guest of the Mark Hendrick’s on New Year’s eve. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hendricks and Arlin spent the day at the Omer Points home near Stuart on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ernst of Manhatten, Kan., came up on Thursday, bringing Mrs. Robert Hendricks and children home. They had been visiting in Kan sas since Christma. Duke Hoffman drove to Om aha on Sunday, the 6th to take Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Beck and son, Denny. Mrs. Beck will enter the hospital and 1 >enny will return to school in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Duke Huffman entertained the Celia Pinochle club at their home on Friday night. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Mommson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Addi son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Beck and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sicbeneder and baby, Mr and Mrs. Frank Kilmurry and son, Dickie, Mr. and Mrs John Schwindt and Vanitta, Mr. and Mrs. Natchel Rzeszotarski and family. John Schwindt won high score prize and Mrs. Lyle Addison and Duane Beck won low prize. The next meeting will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Mommson the 25 of Jan uary. Mr. and Mrs. Duke Hoffman entertained the Gerhardt Momm sons and the John Schwindt fam ily at New Years dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Duke Hoffman and sons were guests of the Ger hardt Mommsons on Sunday eve ning. They erijoyed plenty of home made ice cream, it being Mrs. Moinmsons birthday. Clarence Focken took his daughter, Karen, to Miller S. D. where she attends school at the Sunshine Bible Academy. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Focken visited at the Clarence Focken home on Wednesday evening Dennis Colfack was a dinner guest at the Clarence Focken home several times the past week while his folks were in Texas. Dennis stayed home to care for the home chores. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Focken and children were visitors at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle Focken in Stuart on Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Focken, Newport, and family were Sun day evening supper guests of the Clarence Focken family. Clarence Focken jr., Stuart, called at the Clarence Focken sr. home on New Year’s Day. His family was to have been along but they had the flu in their h me so were unable to come. Miss Linda Chaffin assisted Mrs. Mark Hendricks with the Saturday house work this past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Anderson had New Year’s dinner at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Anderson and family at O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Percy An derson and children of Columbus were also dinner guests. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Hughes and family, Norfolk, Nebr., spent several days after Christmas with his folks, the R. L. Hughes. Marlyn Graham spent Christ mas Day at the Ted Crawford home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Mitchell were callers at the Gordon Bar ta home on Wednesday. Melvin Kraft was a Wednesday evening supper guest at the Gor don Barta home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Witherwax 1 and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jensen , were at the Albert Carson home 1 for Christmas. Miss Beverly Carson and Mr. I and Mrs. Edward Carson had their Christmas Day dinner on I Sunday with the Carson sisters, as Miss Beverly had to work I Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Buss Greene were 1 visitors at the Edward Carson home on Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Leman Huber were Sunday evening guests at the Osborn home on Sunday eve ning. Mrs. Lloyd Brady held school Monday as their vacation was on ly a week. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Ruzicka had their Christmas dinner on Sunday so all their children could be home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady en joyed having all their children home over the Christmas holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brady and Miv and Mrs. John Brady left in time so they could spend Christmas Day with the ladies folks.
