They were accompanied by Mrs. Dora Mc Cune, who had been visiting in lhe Abney home and who contin ued on to her home in California by plane and by Mrs. Tom Kelly and Mrs Alvui Alberts who spent the day shopping. Kleth Kivett, Wayne college stuilent, spent the weekend visit ing hi* parents, Mr and Mrs Vaden Kivett. L Watson. Wilbur Brown was elect ed trustee. Mr and Mrs Dana Lines and grandson, Dean Gorgen, have moved from their country home day, the 27th Mr. and Mrs. Francis Boelter and Mrs George Jeffrey were ■ Norfolk visitors Thursday. Ervin Grheke and his sister, ; Mrs. Kelly Thompson of Big Springs, Nebr., arrived Friday at the home of their sister, Mrs Clarence Finch sr, being called : here by the death of Mr. Finch. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dorr and daughters spent Sunday at Hart ington visiting relatives. Miss Annette Uhlir, Wayne, spent the weekend with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Uhlir. Glen Waring, the relief mail carrier, has been delivering mail since Sunday. Lester Raff, who received painful injury to his right eye and face when a shot gun shell exploded when he was loading his gun, will be absent from the job for a while. Several stitches were required to close the cut on his eye lid. He also received powder burns on his face. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hegge meyer and family, Wayne, were Sunday evening and overnight guests at the home of his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heg gemeyer. Mr. and Mrs. Lavone Hines and. family were Sunday dinner guests at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Boostinger. Mr and Mrs. Gordon Hamilton and family were Sunday evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Podony and Richard. Many from this vicinity attend ed the funeral of Helen Rudloff at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic church in Verdigre Saturday, Dec. 1. Mrs. Francis Boelter helped at the Walnut switch telephone Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs F E Pierce were Sunday, Dec. 2 supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Arnie Pierce, given in hon or of their daughter’s ninth birth day Others attending the supper were Mr and Mrs Ronald Cook and family and Mr and Mrs. Dean Pierce and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Caskey spent the weekend at Omaha visiting their son and daughter-m-law. Mr. and Mrs Leland Caskey Sunday evening visitors at the Joe Sladek home were Mr and Mrs Ralph Brockhouser. Mr. and Mrs Matt Kauth and family, Wausa. spent the week end with Mr and Mrs Sladek and helped with the farm work. Mr. Sladek is recuperating at his home from injuries received in a farm accident a week ago. Monday. Dec 3. Mrs. Max Le Masters entertained the Work an*l Fun club The members arrived in the forenoon and did needle work fur the hostess after a noun day Christmas dinner.
