Mark Hendricks Mrs. Duke Hoffman visited with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Alex Fric kel, Wednesday. Mrs. Frickle had the misfortune of falling as she tripped while crossing a low fence and in falling she broke the main bone in her left foot about two inches above the ankle. She is getting around quite well with the foot encased in a cast and wearing a heel brace that does away with the not'd for a crutch. They returned to their respective homes Sunday evening, Oct. 28 Mrs. Helen Focken and June, Denver, Colo., were visitors at the home school, Dist. 248, Mon day. Linda Chaffin was an overnight guest of Patricia Kilmurry on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hendricks were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Klinger on Tues day. Richard had surgery Friday morning for the removal of a piece of steel which was imbed ded in his leg near the knee joint. He is doing well at this writing. Omer Points and Mrs Mark Hendricks drove to Bristow where they had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shattuck Wednesday Mrs. Duke Hoffman and sons attended a Halloween party at the Emmanuel Lutheran church Wed nesday evening. Mr and Mrs. Milton McKath me and children drove to the Pleasant View school to see the pictures shown by Mrs. Hanel of her trip abroad There was a free will offering taken which was donated to the Good Samar itan Home Project in Atkinson. The Pleasant View school hail a Halloween party Friday. After the games refreshments were served, including something spec ial for Mrs. Chace who was cele brating her birthday that day. A*-*. s|>ent a few days this past week with her daughter, Mrs. Milton McKathnie. From there she went to be with another daughter, Mrs. Gerald Risor and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Evans and son called at the Milton McKath nie home Sunday afternoon. Mrs. George Beck spent the day with her son, Duane and family on Friday. Duanes are painting all their buildings and Mrs. Beck helped by bringing a good dinner all prepared for them. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Beck vis ited with Mrs. Beck’s parents, the Henry Dobrovlny family, leaving Cheryl and Sandra to spend the weekend with their grandparents. Mr and Mrs. John Sicheneder and children drove to the Gary Hitchcock home Wednesday night where they picked up Mrs. Hitch cock’s sister, Carol Bartell, who was paying her sister a visit, and then out for Tricks or Treats around the neighborhood. Dale Sicheneder was a visitor at the home school on Wednes day. Mrs. Lawrence Kramer is the teacher. Mrs. Ernie Wondercheck, the former Ellen McKathnie and her son Gene, came Saturday to spend a few days at the Milton McKathnie and Grandma “Em ma” McKathnie homes. She plans to return to her home at Palmer Tuesday. Mrs. Leo Kramer, Atkinson, showed her slides of their trip to the World’s Fair at the Brush Creek school Thursday. On Wednesday several friends heleped the bereaved family of Cecil Bogue by preparing and serving lunch and dinner after the funeral. Those helping were Mrs Natchel Rzeszotarski, Mrs. Marvin Meals, Mrs. Owen Galli gan and Mrs Warren Marr. Mr and Mrs Dick Peters, Nor folk, are visiting the Natchel Rzeszotarski family for a few days while deer hunting. They took Tommy Rzeszotarski with them on Wednesday and went up around Newport. Michele Rzeszotarski and her parents were in O’Neill on Thurs day where Michele got her learn ers permit to drive. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Meals, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meals, Mrs. George Meals and Mrs. Bertha Gondringer were dinner guests of the Natchel Rzeszotarski’s on Fri day. Michele Rzeszotarski was an overnight guest of Jean Wewel, Tuesday night. Mr. Bill Kretchman, Robert Hendricks, George Mathis and Harlan Kubart were driving cat tle from Bill’s north pastures to the home place south of Atkinson on Thursday and they stopped for dinner at the Robert Hendricks home They drove the cattle to the Nate he 1 Rsessutarski home where they corraled them for the night and then finished the drive on Friday. Mr and Mrs. John Schwindt visited with the Lyle Addison family Thursday evening Emil Collack reports another dam has been finished on his ranch The fishing should get good some day out this way with so many dams. Mrs. Hans Lauridson called on Mrs Bill Coleman in Atkinson Friday. The Lauridsons then vis ited in O’Neill in the afternoon. Mr and Mrs. Clarence Heiser and son, Lincoln, and Mrs. Char les Smith sr., Atkinson, were din ner guests at the Ed Heiser home Sunday Mrs. Clarence Hei ser and Mrs. Ed Heiser are sis ters and Mrs Smith is their mo ther. The two Mr. Heisers are cousins. Dick Kleiber, Charles Kleiber, John Sower and Bill Focken all of Hastings were guests at the Clarence Focken sr. home while deer hunting Bill Focken was very unfortunate in that his hunt ing permit evidently got pulled out of his pocket with his gloves and was lost, but the other three men each got their deer. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hendricks and family, Manhattan, Kan., I visited at the Robert Hendricks homes. Rob and Leon Hendricks went deer hunting but were not fortunate enough to find a deer Mr. and Mrs. Hendricks returned to their borne Sunday evening taking little Rhonda Hendricks, daughter of the Kab Hendricks with them to stay till Thunkagiv mg ume.
