Norfolk Thursday and on to Ut
ica where they visited in the
home of Mrs. C. L. Caldwell.
From there they all drove to Mil
ford where they were supper
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Kel
ley. On Friday Mrs. Tompkins
and Allen attended Homecoming
activities at Nebraska Wesleyan
University. Highlights of the day
included the alumni honors con
vocation, the chuck wagon supper
and the homecoming football
game. Mrs. Ethel Tompkins vis
ited her brother and wife, Mr.
and Mrs. L. H. Doughty. They
spent Saturday in Utica with Mrs.
C. L. Caldwell and Mr. and Mrs
Ned Kelley and Roger Tompkins
also came to Utica for the day
A fellowship supper was held
in the Methodist church parlors
Sunday evening. Dick Linder
showed his slides of the Mission
tor which he took this past sum
mer with a group of other young
people. The tour visited churches
and mission centers in Kansas
City, Nashville, Chicago, Des
Moines, Omaha and various other
cities. This tour was sponsored
by the Woman’s Society of Chris
tian Service.
