Mr. and Mrs John Mark spent last weekend in Atkinson visit ing relatives. They returned to Wayne Sunday G. I. Medcalf. son of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Medcalf spent the week end in Atkinson with his par ents. G. I. is a student at the Wayne State Teachers College. He was accompanied home by Jerry Heyne who visited his par ents in Stuart. The teacher and pupils of Dist rict 77 gave their Halloween pro gram last Friday night with a good attendance. A lively pro gram depicting wierd witches and goblins was presented by the group arid pie find coffee were served for refreshments. The group hopes to purchase a dic tionary with the proceeds of the social. Mrs. Pat Medcalf is the teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Pat Medcalf and Melanie were Sunday evening callers of his parents, Mr and Mrs. E. H. Medcalf, Chambers, who recently returned from a trip to California and reported a very enjoyable vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith sr drove to Lexington last Friday where they s[>ent the weekend with their son and daughter-in law, Mr. and Mrs Carl Smith jr. and family. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McClurg drove to Osceola Sunday where they visited with Mr. and Mrs Linden Mulford and family, they also attended the open house for the new Good Samaritan home there. They returned home Sun day night. Weekend guests in the home of Mr and Mrs. Fred Juracek were their daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blunk and family, Lincoln. They came Thursday and returned to their home Sunday, Mrs. Frank Skrdla and Mrs L. G. Fleming were in O'Neill last Friday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Johnson, former operators of the* Wheel Inn Motel in Atkinson spent a few days with their daughter and Son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Harvey Steinhauser last week. They also visited friends in Atkinson.
