Harold liarru (Last Week's New** Mrs. Harold Parks sr. and daughter, Ardis, visited her mo ther, Mrs. Martha Strong at O’ Neill Saturday. Jolly Workers club met Thurs day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Wayne Shrader. Twenty-two members answered to roll call Names of secret sisters were re vealed and new names drawn for the year. Handiwork was done by the women. Mrs. Keith Biddle come and Mrs Z. H. Fry assist ed the hostess in serving re freshments. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Berg strom and Mrs. Ralph Munn made a business trip to Norfolk. Mrs. Munn, who had major sur gery a week ago, had a check up by her doctor. Mrs. Lester Spragg and grand daughter, Vicki returned home Thursday from a vacation trip to Washington, D. C. where they vis ited her daughter, Mrs E F. Munson and family. They were accompanied by Larry Spragg The Rev. M. E. Coombs at tended a rally for ministers of the Church of the Nazarene at St. Edward Tuesday evening. A pot luck supper was served at five pm. to the attending ministers and their wives. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Anson and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Anson and their families from Battle Creek were Sunday guests of their mo ther, Mrs. Vera Anson. Mrs. R. S. Bricm was a Neligh visitor Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bollwitt had as their guests Sunday, Mr and Mrs. Ed Urban, Mrs. Robert Pruden and children, Mr and Mrs. Fred Bollwitt and Gregg. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Urban, Vic tor Bollwitt, Mr. and Mrs Vearl Tuttle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ur ban went to Omaha Thursday to attend the funeral service for Joe Smkule, a brother-in-law of Mr Urban anti Mrs. Tuttle. Other re latives who attended the service were Mr. and Mrs. John Honey well, Chambers and Mrs. Alvin Rubeck, Columbus. Mrs. Robert Pruden and her mother, Mrs. Ed Urban and Mrs. Josephine Elston visited Monday at the Richard Bollwitt home in Neligh. Mr and Mrs. Andrew Olson were hosts to a family gathering at their home Friday. Honored guests were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Allan York, Seattle, Wash. Others pre sent were Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Olson and family, Clearwater, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wilson, El gin and Mr. and Mrs. Greer Clark, Stanton. Sunday, Sespt. 16, the family was entertained at dinner in the Oscar Wilson home. Mr. ami Mrs. York left for Sioux City, la., to visit relatives before leaving for their home in Seattle, Wash. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schueth were their nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nemic and daughter, Dodge. Mrs. Dorothy Vaughn, Omaha, spent a few days this week with her mother, Mrs. Grace Briggs. Weekend guests at the Harold Parks sr. home were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parks jr., Gering. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grim spent the weekend at Verdigre, guests at the home of their son, Telford Grim and family. Mrs. Lizzie Grim, who was ac companied by her daughter, Mrs. Lila Pospeshil. Orchard, is visit ing relatives in Lander, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rotherham and daughters visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Donohoe at O’Neill Sunday. Tuesday guests at the Jerry Ro therham home were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sheilds, Shelby, la. Mrs. Leo O’Malley, Chambers, visited 9unday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rotherham. Mr and Mrs Eben Grafft left Thursday on a two weeks vaca tion trip, the first for them in many years. They planned to spend some time with relatives .and friends in Omaha, College Springs, la., Kansas City, Mu., then sometime will be spent in the Ozarks, before going to La Vern, Okla. On their trip home they will stop at Oxford and Full erton. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Spangler and family made a trip to Yank ton, S. D. Sunday. Mr and Mrs. Jerry Rotherham were guests Sunday evening in the home of his sister and bro ther-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo O’Malley, near Chambers. Mr. and Mrs H R Hams were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J H. Gibson, Chambers. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rudolph and children, Spalding Mrs Rudolph is a niece of Mr. Harris. Leland Welke accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Harrie Welke, went to Norfolk Thursday, where they met Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Swain and Mrs. Lutie Snyder, who had made the trip to Ne braska by bus from their home in Montana. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Sanders and family, Laurel, were Sunday din ner guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lee. They also called on his mother, Mrs. Caroline Sanders. Tuesday guests at the Floyd Lee home were Mrs. N. Uhl, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Lulu Quig, O'Neill. Weekend guests at the home of Mr and Mrs. Gail Boies were Ed Bohn and Paul Prellwitz. Mas haska, Kan Mrs Rosa Bauer and Mrs. Gail Boies accompanied by her guests. Ed Bohn and Paul Prellwiu from Kansas attended the wedding of Max Bohn and Helen Sobotka at St. Patrick’s church in O'Neill Saturday morning. Thelma Spangler spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Spangler. She is employed in Norfolk Mrs. Josie Versaw and grand daughter, Sandra Tellander had as their weekend guests Mr. and Mrs. William Meyers sr, Bone steel, S. D. and their son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs. William Meyers jr., Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs Bernice Harlan, Tilden, is spending a few days with her mo ther, Mrs. Caroline Sanders. Sun day Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Har lan had as their dinner guests, Mrs. Mildred Bergstrom and family. Mr. and Mrs. William Farr were honored guests Sunday eve ning, Sept. 9, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Belmer, the oc casion to celebrate their 13th wed ding anniversary.
