Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Dodds are in Benson, Minn., visiting at her sister’s, the Art Bridgland home and Mr. Dodds is trying his luck at fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Boughn and three children called on Mr. and Mrs. Truman Kirby Thursday while on the way from Wayne to Chambers on business. Mr. Boughn was superintendent of schools here several years ago. He has taught at Pilger the past three years. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ennen and childreen were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kirby Thurs day. The Royal MYF sold 52 water melons and six boxes of plums at a stand on Hi-way 20 at Dodd’s Gas station and cleared $30 to put in their treasury. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Holm are the sponsors of the organization. Mrs. Clarence Asch and Mrs. Fern Fletcher, Orchard, called on Mrs. R. J. Hering Thursday eve ning. The Royal Band Mothers’ club bought band uniforms from the Orchard Band Mothers who had purchased new uniforms for the Orchard band. Coventry has been sta tioned at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. and at the end of his furlough he will go to Fort Sill, Okla., for further training.
