Thursday evening a bar becue supper was held in their honor at the Leo Miller home, others present were Mr. and Mrs Ora Switzer, Jay Butler and the Wendell Switzer family. Friday Mrs. Ora Switzer accompanied the Donald Butler family as far as the Dan Robbins home in Min nesota where she will visit for a while. Mrs. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Hoke and Mrs. Lio nel Gunter visited Mrs. Dewitt Gunter, in the O'Neill hospital and attended open house for Mr. and Mrs. Otto Retke’s 50th wed ding anniversary in the Inman Methodist church Mr. and Mrs. Grant Mott, Shar on and Tammy, Mrs. Fern Pol lock, Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Hoke and Clayton, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Slirader and Gordon, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Shrader, Sandra and David, Eddy and Alice Shrader, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bennett, Flora Youne ami Mr an/1 Mrs Lionel Gunter, Mr. and Mrs. L. Shrader attended the Jolly Work ers picnic supper at the U. P. church annex lawn Friday. Guests were Leon Luzio, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mott and the Rev. Ross and Larry Barnhart. Mrs. R. A. Hord and Dennis Napier stayed with the John Na pier children Tuesday while their mother attended funeral services for her grandfather, William Cud dy, in O’Neill. Busy Hands 4-H club met Wed nesday at the Richard Napier home. The Rev. William Ross was a dinner guest Thursday at the G. Montgomery home. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Ahlers left Thursday morning to visit their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Weinkaup, Topeka, Kan. Barbara Holm, 13, who under went an emergency appendecto my Tuesday at the Plainview hos pital, was released Friday. Wanda Fryer came Sunday from Kent. Wash , to the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Burch, Royal, where she was met by her parents, Mr. and Mrs L. W Fryer, Norfolk, with whom she returned home Mrs. T. R Dodds. Mrs Hans Hofer, Gailen Holm and Mrs R J. Henng were Plain view visitors Thursday and called on patients at the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Larsen are expected here this week from Greeley, Colo., to visit her fa ther, Dwight Morrison and other relatives before the opening of the college at Greeley. School opens August 27 in Royal not Sept 3 as previously stated Douglas Weber came Thursday from Wood River to spend a week with his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Clarence Weber and to join his sister, Kathryn, who came the past week. Both will return to Wood River for the opening of school. The W9CS met with Mrs. Clar ence Weber Wednesday. Twelve members were present. Plans were made to hold a reception for the school faculty at a date to be set later. Committees for Re freshments and programs wera appointed. The bazaar date was set for October 22. Mt% W. J.
