Wednesday. Mrs. Meyer sr. spent
the day with her son the Rev.
Ivan Meyer and family. Mrs.
Meyer jr. drove to Pender and
visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Novak and her brother,
Don. Beverly Meyer who has
been attending college at Wayne
returned to Atkinson with them
and will spend a month with
home folks before resuming her
studies at the college.
Mr. and Sirs. Carl Krogh and
Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Anderson
spent Saturday picnicking and
fishing at the Lauridsen dam.

Minnesota and a sightseeing tour
which included a trip across the
border into Canada. Mr. and
Mrs. Wesley Miller, Leroy’s aunt
and uncle, accompanied the
Hoffmans on their sightseeing
tour. They also visited and were
overnight house guests Thursday
of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Butough,
Robinsdale, Minn.
Louis Lauridsen, were Monday
visitors at the home of Hans and
Jim Lauridsen.
Paul Adams visited Robert
Knutsen Monday evening.
Mrs. LeRoy Hoffman had the
4-H vocal group at her home for
practice Sunday evening. They
will be participating at the Style
Review at O’Neill, Thursday.
Marlin Dameno spent Tuesday
afternoon at night as a guest of
LeRoy Lauridsen at the Hans
Lauridsen home.
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Beck and
family attended the family gath
ering and covered dish dinner

Mr and Mrs. Tom Chrison
and daughters and Carl Christon
left Monday morning for their
homes in Texas. Mrs Carl Chris
ton remained for a longer stay
in the Albert Larson home.
The Morman family from Mich
igan spent Tuesday night near
the Roy Beeson home and went
through this community Wednes
day enroute to the Burwell rodeo.
They are traveling with 13
horses, 2 mules and several wag
ons. The family consists of the
father, mother and eight chil
dren. They spent Wednesday
night at Ray Havels.
The small grain harvest is
completed in this locality, some
report a poor yield, perhaps due
to the dry weather in May.
Bill Borgmeyer of Inman is
working for Marcus Pierson.
Mrs. Nettie Sisson attended a
belated birthday dinner Sunday
in the Echo Fisher home in St.
Edward. Others who attended
were Mrs. Melvin Rexin. Ewing,
and Mrs. Otto Reimer, Lincoln.
Deloit Pinochle club met Thurs
day at the Joe Knievai home.
Mrs Knievai entertained for her
mother. Mrs Paul Funk. Guests
were Mrs Alvie Parks, Mrs. Jo»J

Reimer home Friday for a few
days visit with relatives and
friends. Sunday a picnic was held
in the Riverside Park in Neligh
for the Reimer families in honor
of the Clows and Kenneth Lee.

part of town.

from the Tilden hospital, Wed
nesday and is at home.

Hoffman will be married August
20 at St. Theresa’s church in
Clearwater to Richard Brackle
of Petersburg.

cationing in the Black Hills.

cation trip to the west which will

will join them and return home
