Mr. and Mrs. Glen Grimes, Mr. and Mrs Ralph Adams, Larry and Jolene, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Grimes, Deb bie and Randal, Mr. and Mrs. 'Richard Grimes, and Vonda; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Adams, Mrs. Lela Grubb, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Grimes and Mr and Mrs. G. H. Grimes, Chambers. The group from Milford returned home that evening. The Rev. George Webber, re tinal Presbyterian minister, Salt 1-ake <Hy, Utah, died .luly 13. He is *urviv«'d by his wife, the former Kditli Co*, Chambers, lie was a brother-in law of Mrs. Edgar llellart and I—.. - i . Hazel Cox, Chambers, and has visited here at various times. Mrs. Ruben Miller, Lincoln, came Wednesday to visit her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Damme and family. Mr. Miller came Sunday to take her home. LeRoy and Gail Holcomb were Friday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Miner and son, O’ Neill. The Ramona Rebekah Lodge met Friday, July 13, with 28 members present. Mrs. Rose Miles was installed into the Re bekah Order. Four sisters, Leona Gleed, Pauline Grimes, Genevieve Gillette and Nellie Medcalf gave the unwritten work to the as sembly secretary when she visit ed the lodge meeting two weeks ago and thus earned their cer tificates of proficiency which they received at this meeting. Lunch was served by Mrs. T. E. Newhouse and Mrs. A. B. Hubbard. The next meeting is July 27. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hanna vis ited at the John Buhlman home Thursday evening. They helped Mr. and Mrs. Buhlman and Mar ilyn celebrate their birthday an niversaries. Arlo Crawford fell from a hay stack Saturday and broke his arm. In the fall a tine of his pitch fork pierced Richard Tra cy's leg. Though painfull it is not considered serious. Crawford was taken to Sioux City, la., to a bone specialist. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Rettlaff, Mr and Mrs. Lyle Hanna and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Haake were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wat son and son Wednesday evening, helping Mrs. Watson celebrate her birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Garland Camp bell and baby Mischele, Miller, S. D., spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Far rier. Judy Beed. who attends busi ness college in Grand Island, spent the weekend with her par ents, Mr and Mrs. Raymond Beed. Kenneth Jarman, Ft. Collins, Colo., is assisting with the hay ing at the Richard Jarmans. Mr. and Mrs. Ermin Reichert and son, Charles and Mr. and j Mrs. Art Berg, Long Prairie, Minn., spent Thursday and Satur day of last week with their bro ther-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jarman and Douglas. Bob Cavanaugh, Dubuque, la., and Gene Cavanaugh, O’Neill, were Sunday visitors in the Ber nard Cavanaugh home. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jarman and daughter were Sunday visitors in the Richard Jarman home. Charles Reichert, Long Prairie, Minn., and Doug. Jarman, Cham bers, spent the weekend at Wood Lake and Valentine. Mrs. B. W. Hubbard, Mrs. C. M. Grubb and Judv went to Om aha Thursday on business. They expected to return to Omaha Mon day where Mrs. Hubbard may have surgery. Troxel Green conducted servi ces at the Methodist church Sun day morning in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. Earl Hess, who is at a Youth Camp, Fre mont. The Rev. Hess returned Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. William Pfiel, Wayne, were Sunday guests of her mother, Mrs. Rena Deirking and grandfather, John Walter. Mr. and Mrs. Okey Sandberg and family, Dakota City, la., are expected Wednesday for a few days visit with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jarman and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jarman were Sunday guests of her sis ter, Miss Claire Tomjack, O’Neill, where they enjoyed a family get to-gether. The Home Circle club met Wed nesday afternoon with Mrs. Wal ter Haake. Ten members and two visitors were present. Lunch was served at the close of a social time. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wilkinson drove to Fremont Saturday to vis it their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Messenbrink and family and her mother, Mrs. Art Fluckey. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gustaf son and family moved recently from the Jungbluth place north west of Chambers to Bassett, where they are employed at the Ford Garwood ranch. Mrs. Glen Taylor, son, Kenneth and daughter, Kathy, returned the first of last week from a va cation trip to Oregon where they visited Mrs. Taylor’s parents. Virgil Burrell, Brewton, Ala., has been visiting recently with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burrell and family. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Fry, Burwell, were Saturday night and Sunday guests of his parents. Mr and Mrs. Clarence Fry and his bro ther-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Coday. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Hemmann and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Czenkusch, Amherst, were Sunday afternoon visitors in the Erwin Carpenter home. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Curmutt, Se lina, Kan., were overnight guests Friday in the Bernard Cavanaugh home. They were enroute home from a trip to the Black Hills. J. Mrs. Henry Drayton was also a guest. Nettie Fauquier. Chapman, was a house guest of her cousin, Mrs. A B. Hubbard, wh le visiting her and the Dellie Fauquier and Charles Fauquier families, from Thursday until Sunday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. E R Carpenter spent Saturday in Atkinson with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. Dean Stevens, Che ri Lyn and Terry. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hanson and family from Friday to Sunday were his parents and his sister and brother, Ceresco. Mrs. Darrel Gillette returned home Monday from St Anthony's hospital O'Neill. Mr. and Mrs Steve Shavlik left early Friday morning for Denver, Colo., to spend the weekend with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Myron Shavlik and baby. Their daughter, Pam, who has spent about two weeks with her brother's family, accompanied them home Monday. E. H.
