The marriage of Nancy Jean
Hoole and Doug Zane Livingston
took place Tuesday, July 17, at
Omaha in a candle light cere
mony in the chaj>el of Dundee
Presbyterian church. The Rev.
Roger Shnjraon officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Hoole sr.,
Omaha. Mr. Livingston is the son
of Mrs. Lra Livingston, Atkinson.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a street length
gown of aqua blue silk, a small
pill box hat and veil. She carried
a colonial bouquet of tiny white
mums with pink sweetheart ro
ses.
Mrs. James Lougsdorf was mat
ron of honor. She wore a dress of
white eyelet rice cloth. Her bou
quet was of yellow sweetheart ro
ses,
Lou Gene Livingstone, Atkinson,
served as best man. Ushers were
James Lougsdorf, Omaha, and
James Sush, Omaha.
A reception was held following
the ceremony at the Fireside Inn.
Hosts were the bride's parents.
The bride, a graduate cf Tech
nical High school, worked as a
typist for Securities Acceptance
Corporation. Mr. Livingstone for
merly of Atkinson is employed by
Western Electric as a tool and
die technician. After a wedding
trip to the Black Hills the couple
will make their home in Omaha.
Frederick-Koval Wed
Alice Frederick, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frederick,
Cedar Rapids, and Emil Koval,
son of Mrs. Monika Koval, Lynch,
were united in marriage Friday,
June 15, at the St Paul’s First
Methodist church, Cedar Rapids.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Spath and
daughters, Kingston, N. Y. were
visitors the past two weeks at the
home of his sister, Mrs. Alvin
Heese and family and with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Spath
at Inman.
Merry Matron Club
Mrs. Archie Cleveland was hos
tess July 19 to the Merry Matron
club. Six members were present.
They answered roll call with their
“pet peeve”. The next meeting
will be Aug. 16 at the home of
Mrs. Carl Hubei. Roll call will
be answered with their “bad hab
it”.
MM Club Meets
Mrs. Paul Shierk was hostess
to the MM Bridge club Tuesday
afternoon. Mrs. Ella Porter and
Mrs. H. G. Kruse were high score
winners.
Lutheran Ladies Aid
Christ Lutheran Ladies aid met
Thursday evening at the church.
The topic was given by Mrs. Don
Larson. A shower was given for
Mrs. Gcdwillo.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Harding, Ful
lerton, Calif., came July 19 to
visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Vernon Hardine and other rela
lives. They expect to return home

Joe Kubik has purchased the
Norbert Clark residence in O’
Neill. His plans to leave his farm
northeast of town are not definite
yet.

Omaha Friday.

family returned to their home in
Chicago, having spent a couple
of weeks with her parents, Mr.

Tony Anewalt returned to his
home in San Diego, Sunday. His
wife and son will remain for a

ited the weekend with her sister,

Sarah Ruddy, Long Beach,

Meets Thursday Evening
“My Life as a Lay Missionary’’
was the topic of Miss Sharlene
Shoemaker’s talk to 9t. Patrick
Altar Society members last
Thursday evening.
Miss Shoemaker, a St. Mary’s
graduate, told of her experiences
as a lay missionary with the Ex
tension Society in Oklahoma City.
She ended her talk by answering
audience questions.
Miss Hilda Gallagher presided
at the business meeting. She an
nounced plans of a rummage sale
twice a.year. Also, a parish din
ner is being planned for next fall.

report on the state board of di
rectors meeting of the National
Council of Catholic Women in
