Hering Mr. and Mrs. George Bonstell and granddaughter, Chadron, re turned home Saturday after spending several days visiting re latives including his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Rundquist and Mrs. Bonstell’s brothers, Ernest, Harold and Clyde Hopkins and families of Neligh. They were also dinner guests of Mrs. Edna Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Truman Kirby. Four grade school boys, Nolan Rundquist, Dean Ennen, George and Martin Waterman, had the surprise of their lives Friday when wading in the creek on the former Will Reefe place north of town when they found a buffalo skull. The protruding horn was thought to be a piece of wood, but snapped off when stepped on. The boys then began digging and soon unearthed the top part of the skull with both horns. The bones were brittle and broke easily, and the boys dug out as many as they could and carried them to town putting them on display at Rund quist’s store where they are glue ing the pieces together. Needless to say, the “explorers” are very jubilant over their find and hope to make other discoveries. Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Dodds went Saturday morning to Benson, Minn., to visit her sister, Mrs. Art Bridglend for a few days. Mrs. Joe V. Hering, Beatrice, visited Mrs. R. J. Hering Wed nesday on her return trip from visiting Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Stark, Yankton, overnight Friday and four days in Niobrara with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Stubben and family.
