Boyle, Cunningham Are Married In Catholic Rite Saturday at St. Patrick's The marriage of Miss Helen Joan Boyle and Dennis L. Cun ningham took place Saturday morning at St. Patrick’s Catho lic church at a double ring cere mony. The Rev. Robert Duffy officiated. Miss Boyl# is die daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyle. Mr. Cunningham is the son of Mrs. Be Roy Cunningham. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, appeared in a white nylon tulle and chantilly lace gown over drop skirts of net and iburmil satin. A lace edged sabrina neckline accented the molded bodice. Long fitted sleeves ended in bridal points. A deep flounce and a full length front panel of lace highlighted the floor length bouffant skirt. A jeweled cap held into place the bride's silk illusion finger tip veil. The bride’s flowers were lav ender and white mums with lav ender and white streamers on a white Prayer Book with a crys tal rosary. Mrs. Donald Schneider, Inman, was the maid of honor. Her dress was green taffeta with a scallop ed neckline. She carried laven der mums with lavender stream ers. Best man was Dick Cunning ham, Page. Ushers were Clark Gaughenbaugh and Pat Boyle. Miniature ushers were Chuck and Kenny Ramold. Music at the wedding was fur r.i hod by Helen Gokie, organist, and Patricia McKenzie who sang ‘‘Ave Maria” and “Mother Be loved”. Following the ceremony a brunch was given at the Amer ican Legion Hall for approximate ly GO guests. Servers at the brunch were Mariam Boyle, Carol Gaughenbaugh, Mary Ellen Beha. They will be at home at 2151/2 Fremont. Mary Knudson Weds James Slattery In Catholic Rite in Iowa The wedding of Mary Ann Knudson and James Patrick Slattery took place Saturday. June 30 at Fort Dodge, la. at Corou? Christi church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Knudson, Fort Dodge. Mr. Slattery is the son of Thomas A. Slattery, Atkinson, and the late Mrs. Slattery. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. L. Mc Evay officiated at the nuptial mass. Mrs. Paul Wagner was or ganist. with Mrs. Hotek as vo calist. The bride wore a gown ot white taffeta. The bodice and front panel were fashioned with im ported lace. Taffeta roses fell from the back waistline over the folds of the skirt which extended into a chapel train. Her bouffant silk illusion veil was attached to a pearl and crystal crown. She carried a bouquet of gardenias with pink sweetheart roses. Betty Jean Knudson was the mad of honor. Bridesmaids were Mr- WiL’iam Sybers, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. James Schultz, Oma ha. and Miss Julie Meyer, Dav enport. They wore pink taffeta sheath dresses with petaled over skirts. Their headpieces w’ere pink organza roses with small veils. They carried cascade bou quets of pink mums. Best man was William Slattery, Omaha. Dr. Thomas G. Slattery, Omaha, Charles Knudson, Mar cus, la., and John Knudson, Ev anston, 111., were groomsmen. Ushers were Pete Burke, Fort Dodge, Tom Kapustka. Omaha, and Jerry McKay, Lincoln. Aco lytes were Dennis and Dick Knud son. A reception and dinner were held at the Hotel Warden follow ing the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School. She re ceived her B.A. degree in June from Duchesne College, Omaha, and will teach in the Omaha school system in September. Mr. Slattery attended Notre Dame University at South Bend, Ind. He will be a junior in the College of Medicine at Creighton University in Omaha in the fall. Following a trip to Canada and the Great Lakes region, the couple will be at home in Omaha. Spencer Church Scene of Row, Nelson Wedding The altar of the Methodist church, Spencer, was decorated with lighted white candles and basket arrangements of white gladiolus and blue pompons on Saturday evening for the wedding of Miss Nancy Lee Row, daughter of Mrs. Harrison J. Row, Spen cer, and Raul Arden Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Nelson, O'Neill. The double ring ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. VV. C. Hansen, Omaha, assisted by the Rev. V. R. Daniels, Spencer. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Ralph Dickey, chose for her wedding, a white gown of embroidered silk or ganza over taffeta. The bell shaped skirt, completed at the back by a bow, extended into a chapel train. Her triple-tier veil of imported illusion was accented with tiny seed pearls and caught by a crown of iridescent orange blossoms. She carried a single white orchid and a cascade of lily-of-the-valley and ivy on a white Bible. The bridal Bible was a graduation gift of her grand father, John Dickey. Mrs. Thomas T. Hoyne, Kan sas City, Mo., was matron of honor. Miss Helen Friedrich, Omaha, was bridesmaid. Both were attired in street length co pen blue taffeta sheath dresses with matching chiffon overskirts. They wore matching headbands and carried a circular bouquet of white daisies on blue net. Leonard Mahlendorf, Spencer, served as bestman. Ronald Con not was groomsman. Robert Haun and Ronald Connot were ushers. Kimberly Dill was flower girl and John Dickey, ring bear er. Music was furnished by Mrs. D n/iAnmnniiind D. W. (Boyle, sonarman third class, USN, ward of Pat Boyle, O’Neill, is serving aboard the destroyer, USS Barry, which has joined the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. The anti-submarine warfare ship will spend three months with the standby Sixth Fleet, visiting various ports in Southern Europe. Aboard the ship are 10 mid shipmen, in training for officer status, from the Naval Academy. They will spend their summer cruise learning anti-aircraft and anti-submarine operations.
