Mrs. Eva Erlenbush and Jim
spent Mother’s Day weekend with
Lyle Erlenbush and relatives.
The Rev. Bartek took several
altar boys fishing 9unday after
noon. Bill Rosicky and Anton
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Fernau are
visiting relatives here for two
weeks from Kentucky where he
is stationed in the army.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Schommer,
Spencer, called at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Birmeier
Wednesday evening.
Tuesday several rural teach
ers took their pupils to Butte to
the music festival and eighth
grade graduation exercises.
The Excello club met Monday,
at 8 p.m. in the Moody’s cafe,
dinning with 7 members present.
Mrs. Helen David gave the les
son on “Clothes for Travel’’.
Mrs. F. King was hostess. The
next meeting will be in Septem
ber at the home of Mrs. Clar
yce Allen.

St. John parish south of Ewing
and enjoyed a cook-out.
The First Methodist Women's
Society met in the home of Mrs.
L. Cozine with Mrs. Ronald Ste
wart as co-hostess Thursday at
2 p.m.
A pot luck su|>per was planned
for the congregation May 27 at
12 p.m. in the Lynch park. Every
one interested in this church is
cordially invited. Election of of
ficers was held. Mrs. Ronald Ste
wart, president; Mrs. Everett
Rutledge, secretary; and Mrs.
L. Cozine, treasurer.
Two new members were taken
into the First Methodist church
on Sunday, May 20 and 9 bap
tisms were performed by Rev
Daniels from Spencer. The
Lynch Elder, Robert Conklin,
gave the sermon at the Spencer
First Methodist church.
The Junior MYF met at the
Methodist church Saturday after
noon at 4 p.m. with 23 members
present. Tommy, Donny and Kel
ley Thomson served cookies at
the close of the meeting. The or
ganization has $32 at thus time
and are planning to buy a large

A picnic dinner was held at
the Lynch park Sunday in honor
of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hull, wlio
left Monday for Tennesse, where
he is stationed in the Air Corp.

has employment for the sum
mer. They returned to O’Neill
Thursday night.

Neill Wednesday. Mrs. Clinton
and Mrs. Spencer attended a

Judy Flanders spent Tuesday
night with Starla Spencer.
Bill Elsasser, Leman Huber,
and Richard Gray spent the week
end at home. They are employed
in Sioux Falls.

spent Friday evening at the Pat
Osborne home.
Mrs. John Tarr was a Thurs
day dinner guest of Mrs. Leman
Huber. She spent Friday night
and was a Saturday dinner guest.
Her husband was a patient at
the Lynch hospital.

ea near Naper.

where they will spend the sum
mer months. They will return
to Lynch again this fall. Mr. El
sasser and Mr. Huber are em
ployed there.
