They spent Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Brady’s mother, Mrs. Charles Bare, and returned to Omaha Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Sou kup left Sunday, Mar. 18 for Omaha where they visited rela tives. Monday they departed for Pueblo, Colo., where Mr. Soukup is stationed in the navy as a radio instructor. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Frahm and Kurt, O’Neill, Mr. and Mrs. George Soukup and Mr. and Mrs. George Courtney jr. and family spent Saturday night, Mar. 17, at the George Courtney home. Sheriff Claude Collins was in Lynch Sunday checking on the flood areas. Mr. and Mrs. Thom as Schoberg, O’Neill, were also here for that purpose. Several families from the Lynch flood area stayed at the Lynch hotel Sunday night. Mrs. Bertha Rossmeier is vis iting at the Lumir Cizek home in Spencer for a few weeks. Circle 2 met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Elmo Barnes. The regular meeting was conducted by Mrs. Harlan Holz. The joint missionary discussion also was held there at 2 pm. Mrs. G. L. Mrs. Hamp Smith is help ing at the Blake home while Mrs Blake is hospitalized. Mrs. Smith is Mr. Blake’s sister. He is re cuperating satisfactorily from a severe heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. George Fuller ton were supper guests Monday evening, Mar. 19,' with Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Dierking and Cyn thia. Edgar Peterson was a business caller at Neligh Monday. Mr. and Af^s. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Coolidge were O’Neill callers Tuesday. The Amelia Progressive club met Wednesday, Mar. 21, with Mrs. Vern Sageser. Mrs. S. C. Barnett was taken to Omaha Thursday for an appoint ment with an eye specialist. Her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn White and Mr. Bar nett accompanied her and all vis ited the Whites daughter, Mrs. Bob Bailey, while there. They re turned home Friday evening and Mrs. Barnett received the good report that the eye ailment was not serious. Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Waldo and her brother, John Zink on and Mrs. Hamp Smith returned home Tuesday from North Platte where they visited Mrs. Everett Smith at the hospital. She is a sister of Mrs. Waldo and Mr. Zinkon and Hamp Smith is her son. Word reached here Wednesday that she was able to leave the hospital that day. Mrs. Lloyd Waldo has been ill due to a hack ailment the past week. Mrs. Lovina Thompson, Mc Pherson, Kan., called on Mrs. William Fryrear Thursday after noon, and also visited her daugh ter-in-law, Mrs. Gene Thompson and family, that day. Mrs. Vern Sageser and Mrs. Bernard Blackmore were leaders of the club lessons when they met for their March meeting at the home of Mrs. Vern Sageser March 21. The February meeting, which was to have been held with Mrs. Mary Sageser, was postponed because of weather. The lesson on “window treat ment” was presented by Mrs. Sageser at the March meeting. Mrs- Bernard Blackmore present ed a lesson on “how to put in a zipper”. There were seven mem bers present. The April meeting will be with Mrs. Ralph Rees. The Merry Matrons club met with Mrs. Blake Ott Thursday with Mrs. Ralph Adair as co-bos tess. Mrs. Stella Sparks, Cham bers, was a guest. Mrs. Charles Bligh returned Friday to the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pierce, after spending about two weeks in Omaha with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brau. She went to her home at Alliance Sunday. John Ceams, Scottsbluff, was a weekend visitor with his par ents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Fryrear. Sharon Prewitt has been in Scottsbluff for several weeks. She is employed at the hospital there. Mrs. Edgar Peterson visited Mrs. Ralph Rees Friday after noon.
