O'Neill Locals R. B. Van Voorhis, Edgemont S. D., is visiting in the home ol his son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs. K. L. Van Voorhis. John Kurtz and Larry Godel students at Chadron State college were Wednesday night, Mar. 7, guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kurtz and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Godel, enroute to at tend the State Basketball tourna ment in Lincoln Thursday to Sat urday. Don Younie attended a sales meeting of McKesson-Rohbins company representatives at Siou> City, la., March 3. Dr. and Mrs. H. D. Gildersleeve have returned from a two-week trip to Los Angeles, Calif., visit ing relatives, and in Las Vegas, Nev. Mrs. John Hart and boys are back in O'Neill following a week’s trip in Kansas and Okla homa. Her mother, Mrs. D. J. Roenigk, who had been visiting in the Hart home, accompanied them to her home in Morganvilie, Kan., and Mrs. Hart and sons continued on to Enid, Okla., for a few days visit. She returned by way of Wichita, Kan., where she Joined her husband for the trip home. The Rev. Hart had been attending a meeting on steward ship in Wichita. Entertains at Luncheon Mrs. L. A. Burgess entertained the Wednesday Afternoon bridge club members at her home March 7. Mrs. C. E. Lundgren had high score in cards. Reviews Itook Mrs. H. D. Gildersleeve review ed a book, “To Kill a Mocking (Bird’’, at the March 5 meeting of the O’Neill Woman’s club in the home of Mrs. Esther Harris. Mrs. Robert Pappenheimer was chairman of the serving commit tee. Pauls Reed and David Babbitt, students at Nebraska Wesleyan university, came Friday to spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reed. Due to the storm they were unable to return to school Sunday as plan ned and were hoping they could get through the roads Wednes-1 day. Mrs. Hugh Birmingham return ed Thursday from Fairbuiy where she visited her daughter, Mrs. William Riley. Jeudi Club Meets Mrs. Allan Jaszkowiak was hos tess Thursday evening when members of the Jeudi club met at the Town House for dinner. Cards were played at the Jasz kowiak home and prizes were won by Mrs. John Watson and Mrs. Melvin Ruzicka. Dinner Meeting Held Following a 7 p.m. dinner Thursday evening at the M & M cafe, the members of the Nine FF club adjourned to the home of their hostess, Mrs. Earl Rod man, for an evening of cards. Prizes were won by Mrs. John Enke and Mrs. Rodman. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Miner were Dwayne Hamar, graduate in biochemis try and his wife, Louise Hamar, secretary in the department of architecture of Lincoln, former residents of Texas; Wayne Tiller, associate editor of Outdoor Ne braska and his wife, Marie Til ler, biochemist and nutrition stu dent, and their son-in-law, Norm Klasna, senior in engineering and their daughter, Sherry Klasna, who is a secretary in the bio chemistry department and a physical education student. The Klasnas took their daughter, Tanya, home with them after a two-week visit with her grand parents. I Too Late to Classify Miss Holey Appointed Christine Herley was appoint ed chairman of the year book for the Willing Workers 4-H club at a special meeting held Sunday afternoon at the Vern Lorenz home by the junior leaders and officers. It was decided that the general meetings would be held every three weeks and the pro gram for the year was planned. Next meeting will be March 25 at the John Edzards home.
