Sunday at the Lionel Gunter
home. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Hord
were afternoon callers.
A group went to the Charles

married couple, Mr. and Mrs.
Roger Strope.
The Lee Fink family visited at
the Willie Shrader home last Sun
day.
Mrs. Dewitt Hoke called on Mr.

The Jolly Workers club met
Thursday at the George Mont
gomery home. Each member
brought a covered dish for the
noon luncheon. Embroidery work
for the hostess offered entertain
ment. Mrs. Dewitt Hoke presided
at the business meeting. Four
teen members answered roll call.
They will meet with Mrs. Grant
Mott Thursday, Feb. 8, for a
n<x>n luncheon and each is to
bring a covered dish. Mrs. De
witt Hoke and Mrs. Robert Mc
Daniels received gifts from “mys
tery sisters”.
Sandra and Douglas Shrader
returned to Wayne last Sunday
afternoon. They are attending
State Teachers college there.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Napier
left early Thursday morning for
Phoenix, Ariz. They plan to be
gone three months or so for Mr.
Napier’s health.
The Free Methodist church had
quarterly meetings last Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday eve
nings.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Miller,
Mr. and Mrs. I,eo Miller and
the Walter Miller family attend
ed open house for Ernst Trow
bridge's 80th birthday at the
Jessie <’ronk home at Page
Thursday afternoon. There were
80 present. Mr. Trowbridge re
ceived a telephone call from
a brother who lives in Wyom
ing.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Schmidt visited in O’Neill Friday
afternoon.
Mr. nd Mrs. Z. H. Fry were
guests to late lunch Thursday
afternoon at the George Mont
gomery home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ora Switzer and
the Leo Miller family were guests
at the Wendell Switzer home
Thursday evening. A lunch of ice
cream and cake was served for
Sherry Switzer’s birthday.
The John Napier family were
dinner guests Sunday at the Ed
Walters home at Chambers.
Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Gunter
visited at the Raymond Schmidt
home Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Napier,
Leroy, Glenda and Dennis were
guests at a turkey supper last
Tuesday evening in Neligh given
by Ralph Lundquist for his em
ployees. Mrs. R. A. Hord stayed
with Steve.
The Robert Hobbs family, Om
aha, came Thursday evening to
visit at the Dewitt Hoke and
L. A. Hobbs homes over the week
end.
