Carson, Colo., and has been spending a three-week fur lough at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ickler and Danny. Monday evening sapper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Caskey were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grim, Ewing, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Butterfield. Mrs. Edna Boelter accompan ied Mr. and Mrs. Francis Boel ter to O'Neill Thursday where she visited with her sister, Mrs. Lilia Stamp, Inman, at St. An thony’s hospital. Johnnie Volquardsen assisted in thawing out water pipes at the Venus store Tuesday. Harold Block returned to Den ver, Colo., after spending the ho lidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W Block and Dale. Mr. and Mrs. James Sukup left Tuesday for El Paso, Tex., where lie is stationed with the army at it general hospital. The couple was guests at the home uf his parents, Mr. anil Mrs. Klnier Sukup. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Pierce mo tored to Holdredge recently to attend the funeral of Mrs. Min nie Kyser, a sister of Mr. Pierce. While at Holdredge they visited at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. John Pierce and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pierce. Mrs. Lavain Hines entertained the Work and Fun club at her home Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 10, with 12 members present. Needlework was done for the hos tess. Mrs. Hines served lunch at the close of the afternoon. Mrs. Max LeMasters will have the February meeting. Annett Uhlir spent the weekend with Patty Dittrick at her home in Verdigre.
