the 9 a.rn. double ring ceremony.
Traditional wedding music was
furnished.
The bride wore a floor length
gown with chapel train of bro
cade material, featuring a scal
loped neckline decorated with
seed pearls and long tapered
sleeves. Her double crown held
an elbow length veil. She carried
a nosegay of white baby chrysan
themums centered with blue car
nations.

Miss Mary Virgilito, Omaha,
was maid of honor, and Miss
Patricia Holcomb, Omaha, was
bridesmaid. They wore identical
di esses of delphenium blue satin
with matching crown, veil and
shoes. They carried white muffs
of fur accented with blue car
nations.
Reger Neimeyer, Omaha, was
best man, and Leland Bauer was
gr omsman. Ushers were Jessie
Villafuerte, brother of the bride,
and Ivan Kaiser, O’Neill.
Following the ceremony a re
ception and breakfast were given
at the Fireside restaurant by the
parents of the bride. Miss Lou
Villafuerte had charge of the
guest book, and Mrs. Leland Bau
er look care of the gifts.
The bride attended the Omaha
School of Vocational Nursing, and
is employed at Clarkson Memorial
hospital. The bridegroom is a
student at Radio Engineering In
stitute.
After a wedding trip to Okla
homa, the couple will be at home
at 4605 Cass Street, Omaha.

Mrs. John Schultz, Clearwater,
and Warren Kenneth McCurley,
son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mc
Curley, De Ridder, La., were uni
ted in marriage Saturday, Dec.
at 10:30 a.m. in St. Theresa
Catholic church here.
The Rev. Charles Brodcrsen,
Neligh, officiated at the nuptial
mass. Miss Mary Lou Schmeiis,
Royal, provided organ music and
accompanied the soloist. Mrs.
Harold Kester.
The bride chose a floor length
gown of hand clipped Chantilly
lace over tulle and satin. The bo
dice showed a scalloped Sabrina
neckline, embellished with pearls
and sequins. Long tapered sleeves
ended in bridal points. An aisle
wide skirt had inserts of tulle and
appliques of lace. Her veil of
French illusion was caught to
a crown of pearls and sequins.
She carried a bouquet of red car
nations centered with a remov
able white orchid corsage.
Miss Marian Schultz served as
maid of honor for her sister.
Bridesmaids were Miss Janice
Reher, Emerson, and Miss Mar
gene Weeder, Lynch. A red velve
teen sheath dress was worn by
the maid of honor, styled with
rounded neckline and three-quar
ter length sleeves. The brides
maids wore gowns of green velve
teen in identical style to that of
Miss Schultz’. They wore match
ing headpieces and carried bou
quets of white carnations. Lois
Ann Melcher was flower girl.
Fred Schultz, brother of the
bride, was best man, and Warren
Snodgrass and James Lejons
were groomsmen. Escorting the
guests to their seats were Ed
ward Melcher and Bill Lejons.
One hundred and twenty guests
attended the reception held in the
parish hall. Mrs. Anna G. Ross,
assisted by Mrs. Walter Schna
bel, cut and served the cake.
Mrs. Lizzie Raster presided at
the serving table, and presiding
at the coffee service was Mrs.
Arthur Melcher. Airs. William
Lyons served punch. Assisting
with the serving were the Misses
Jeanne Van Patter. Bette Mel
Thompson, Betty Jane Hladovcak
and Joan Pellev. Taking care of
the gift table were the Atisses

The bride attended Neligh high
school and the National Business
Institute at Lincoln.
After a wedding trip to Louisi
ana, the couple will reside in
Columbus. Ga., where Air. Mc
Curley is stationed with the Unit
ed States army.

Weds Raymond Carlson
At Norfolk
ROYAL — The First Baptist
church at Norfolk was the scene
of a 2 p.m. wedding December
2-i when vows were exchanged by
Miss Sandra Fay Fryer, Norfolk,
and Raymond Carlson, Royal, in
'.he presence of 250 guests.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Fryer,
Norfolk. The bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Carlson. Royal.
Officiating in the double ring
ceremony was the Rev. Lowell
Dickinson. Mrs. Lois Rittinger,
Norfolk, was organist and ac
companied Miss Daniee Thursten
son, soloist.
The bride wore a nylon lace
over taffeta gown, styled with
scalloped scoop neckline encrust
ed with sequins, long pointed
sleeves and a basque waist. A
hip-length flounce of lace, pleat
ed in back, gave interest to the
bouffant floor-length skirt. Her
illusion waist-length veil edged in
matching lace was held in place
by a sequin trimmed tiara. She
carried a bouquet of red roses and
white carnations.
The bride's attendants, her sis
ter, Miss Wanda Fryer, and Miss
Deanna Anson, Brunswick, wore
street-length dresses of royal blue
satin with white silver metallic
trimmed headbands. They carried
bouquets of blue and white carna
tions.
Ronald Carlson served as best
man for his brother, and Richard
Ellsbury, both of Royal, was
groomsman. Ushers were Leroy
Carlson and Arnold Frahm. Roy

flower girl, respectively.
A reception was held in the
church parlors. Mrs. Darrell An
son and Mrs. Roy Frahm cut and

The bride is a graduate of the
Norfolk high school. Following
graduation she was employed in
a secretarial capacity in Palo

ployed on his father's farm north
of Royal since his graduation
from Royal high school.
After a wedding trip, the couple
is residing on the Vic Maple
farm north of Roval.

The bride wore a gown of satin
brocade. The bodice featured a
portrait neckline outlined with
tiny seed pearls. Long sleeves
tapered to traditional bridal
points over the wrists and were
edged with matching pearls. A
princess line skirt swept into an
aisle-wide train. Her fingertip
veil of imported silk illusion fell
into a circular sweep from a
pearl crown. She carried a cas
cade bouquet of red roses and
the same white lace hankerchief
which was carried by her mo
ther at her wedding.

VERDIGRE — A 9:30 a m. nup
tial mass was performed in St.
vVencesiajs Catholic church Sat
urday, Dec. 30, uniting in mar
riage Miss Rita Mane Vecera,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
J. Vecera, and James E. Sukup,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Su
kup, all of Verdigre.
The Rev. Charles Obomy
officiated at the double ring cere
mony. Miss Janet Rudloff was
vocalist, and Mrs. Ekiwa Jedhcka
Pavlik was organist.
For her wedding the bride
chose a floor-length gown of silk
organza. The basque bodice front
was detailed with intricate em
broidery, sprinkled with sequins
and pearls. Embroidery' enhanced
the bracelet sleeves, skirt front
and the sweep chapel train. Her
veil of French illusion was caught
to a headpiece of pearls and se
quins. She carried a bouquet of
red Happiness roses.
Miss Judith Vecera, Norfolk
served as her sister’s maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Leiand Caskey, Omaha, sifter of
the bridegroom, and Miss IJene
Mlady, Norfolk They were attir'd
in ballerina gowns of sheer ny
lon over taffeta fashioned with
scoop neckhnes, tiny cap sleev<«
and cummerbunds with bows in
front. Their bouffant skirts had
deep hems Matching headpieces
were worn, and the attendants

to 150 guests following the cere
mony. The cake was cut and serv
ed by Mrs. Em:I Zila, Omaha,
and Mrs. James Rudloff. At the

Mrs Keith House. Norfolk. Miss
Donna Maule had charge of

The bride is a graduate of the
Verdigre high school, and the
bridegroom graduated from
Creighton high school. He is serv
ing in the United States Army at
