Entertain at Dinner Members of the World War I auxiliary entertained the Veterans at a turkey dinner Monday eve ning. Dec. 11, in the Legion hall. NOTICE! It is almost auto license time again. No licenses can be issued until January 2. Business hours beginning January 2 for January and Febru ary will be open at 9:00, open during the noon hour and close at 4:00 p.m. These hours have proven very satisfactory in the past and enables us to get the mail out every day and keep up on the routine office work. When sending in or coming in for licenses you must have the following: Your 1961 registration certificate, all copies of the tax state ments which ycu will receive from the assessor before January 1, the correct fee for the tax and the licenses for each vehicle to be licensed. If by mail add 20c for passenger cars and 10c for trucks for mailing charges. If you do not bring or send in your 1961 certificate I will have to write for it or $1X10 extra fee for lost certificate. If your tax statement does not correspond with the vehicle to be registered or the township, village or school district are incorrect send or bring the statement to the county assessor for correction. All cabin or house trailers must have a permit for $2.00 regardless whether the fee for highway use is obtained or not. To be used as stationary $2.00 plus the tax. To be used on the highways $10.00 fee plus the $2.00 fee plus the tax. The $2.00 per mit must be obtained before March 1. All license fees are the same as for 1961. Ple ase do not forget your 1961 registration certificate when applying for your new license or for a transfer of licenses after January 1. Without it I must charge $1.00 extra fee. These are laws which I have no control. Let’s keep Holt county a traffic fatality zero for 1962 and hope all other counties will do the same. J. The adult Sunday School class of the Assembly of God church held a get-to-gether Tuesday noon at the church. Twelve members were present. The Paddock Missionary socie ty met with Mrs. Virgil Hubby Friday. Eleven members were present. The women packed Christinas boxes for the aged and shut ins and boys serving in the armed forces. The next meet ing will be January 19. The place is undecided. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Woidneck visited at the George Mellor home in Spencer Saturday eve ning while the girls practiced for the Christmas program.
