Motion carried, i Motion by Heermann, seconded by Reynoldson, that the City Council pay the Missouri Valley Construction Company the ba lance of 3% due on Storm Sewer Dist. No. 1, amount $576.67 and on paving districts No.17, $1,445 .52, No. 18, $429.08, No. 19, $1,058 69, No. 25, $168.70. No. 26, $363.70, No. 28, $491.39, No. 29, $226.88. No. 30 $124.25, No. 31, $234.51, No. 32, $325.45, No. 33. $291.62. The total amount due contractor is $5,736.46. This is the amount withheld for the one year guarantee period covering workmanship and materials in the referenced projects. The vote on the above motion was as follows. Wil son, in connection with the build ing permit issued by the Council, came up before the Council. Mr. Norman Gonderinger representing the following persons and pro perty owners. H. D. and Helen Gildersleeve, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Dailey, Mrs. Mark Muff, Bonita Cuddy. Rex Stowell, Mrs. Merlin C. Simpson, Ralph and Mrs. Ralph Beckwith, Frank Fritton, Tom Murray. Roy Shull. Mr. Will iam Griffin represented Dr. Rex W. Wilson. Both Parties waived the read ing of the Notice of the hearing. A hearing was had on the per mit of Dr. Rex W. Wilson for a new Clinic. The protesting parties were heard and all parties given an equal chance to state their opposition. The City Council vot ed as follows. Motion by Gleeson, seconded by Moore, that the Council grant a building permit to Dr. Rex W. Wilson for a new Clinic as for the permit as pre vious presented to the City Coun cil in accordance to Ordinance No. 234-A. A roll call VOTE ON THE ABOVE MOTION WAS AS FOLLOWS: Aye Moore, Gleeson, Carroll, Hiatt. Janousek, Heer mann and Revnoldson. Nay none. Motion was carried. Motion by Reynoldson. second ed by Janousek. that the City Fight TB Use Christmas Seals place stop signs at the corners of Everett. Clay, Benton and Adams and second streets. Mo tion carried. Said time construction to be completed with in one year of annexation. Coun cilman Heerman seconded the above resolution. The Mayor ask ed for a roll call vote to be taken on the above resolution with the results as follows. Aye Reynold son, Heermann, Moore. Hiatt, Mc Intosh and Gleeson. Nay none. Motion by Moore, seconded by Hiatt, that the Council open and read the bids as asked by the Council for a new truck. The fol lowing bids being opened and read were Robertson Motor Co. Inc., Wm. Krotter Co. of O'Neill and the Harry R. Smith Motor Co. A motion was made by Council man Moore, seconded by Hiatt, that the Council accept the bid of the Smith Motor Company for a Model “B 162’’ International Harvester 2 ton truck as per bid of $2,433.79. This was the low bid. A roll call vote taken on the above motion resulted as follows Aye McIntosh. Gleeson, Heer mann, Reynold son. Hiatt and Moore. Nay none. Motion carried. Af ter examining the bids, motion was made by Smith, seconded by Dierking, that Fehrs Tractor & Euipment Company being the low bid, be accepted. Motion carried.
