Lyle Abney spent Thanksgiving day with Mr. and Mrs Tom Kelly and family at Wisner. Mrs Frances May entertained a group of women Friday eve ning at her home at a party. Games were played. Margaret Pruss, Clearwater, spent the holiday weekend visit ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pruss. Joe Harte and Charles Scholle meyer spent Saturday in Nor folk on business. Ned Kelley and Keith Kivett, students at Wayne State Teach Regular Sale MONDAY, DEC. 4 Sold over 700 cattle and 700 hogs on the sale last Monday that was steady on the cattle and a little lower on the hogs. The hog top was at $15.55 and went to Lionel Gibbs of Clearwater. Swift and Company bought them and they went to the West Coast as a good many of the hogs. We had 6 major buyers to assure you of the most dollars possi ble. In the cattle market we had light steer calves up to $32.50 and 490 lb. calves up to $30.00. Sam Regans string of 545 lb. steers sold at $27.10. Heifer calves up to $28.50. Ask someone who has sold livestock with us and you will understand why you get more dollars. We have the buyers. Will have a nice sale next Monday but can use a lot more t>oth cattle and hugs to supply the demand. Albert Reynolds returned home Saturday afternoon from St. Anthony's hospital where he spent several days receiving medical attention.
